1 Route Access Condition Notice Distributed To: ARTC Website Distribution Date: 04/10/13 Requested By: ARTC ref: OGP Subject: Effective Period: Amendment Type: New curve speed board listings for EP (Enhanced Performance Trains) including new permanent speed board at Taree and updated line diagrams 08/10/13 - permanent Permanent (to be added to RAS) Note: Permanent Route Access Condition Notices (RACN) are periodically updated in the ARTC Route Access Standard (RAS), at which time the relevant RACN is withdrawn. RAS Reference: Section: D33 Version No.: 1.2 Page/s: All ARTC Network Location: Line Section: Kms: RACN details: Maitland to Acacia Ridge All Corrected speed boards information to reflect as is on ground. Corrected loop and siding length from block point to block point. New permanent direction turnout speed board at Taree. This RACN also details the upgrade of curve speeds on the ARTC network from Maitland to Acacia Ridge. Some curves now have three boards, the top being normal locomotive hauled passenger trains and freight trains and track vehicles, the middle being for EP freight trains and the bottom for XPT, Xplorer and Endeavour trains, refer to the updated rule ANG 604 figure Freight trains must observe the normal freight speeds until EP speeds are approved, the curve speed boards are at the tangent point for the curves rather than where currently located in advance of the curves. The new boards will progressively have the crosses removed and the old speed boards will be removed or covered, this process will commence from the 8 th of October 2013 until the 20 th of October 2013, starting from Acacia Ridge in a southwards direction. Version 1.0 Date of last revision: 29 Oct 12 Page 1 of 1
