12 In 2018, Sydney's son Alan and grandson Lloyd, both having enjoyed their own motor racing success, are planning to resurrect Allard Motor Cars.

14 The re-born company will continue manufacture with the launch of an Allard J3, an evolution of the iconic race winning J2X, with consecutive chassis numbers.

15 The J3 will be hand built in the company's Gloucester workshops, with the Allard DNA of a lightweight, tubular chassis, aluminium body, American GM 6.2 litre V8 power plant, modern running gear and componentry - recognisably a J series Allard.

16 This chassis and technology will provide the platform for a range of cars, including a new JR (the first of which is under construction for a client) and a Palm Beach MkIII.

17 The J3 will be the car Sydney would have built with today's technology - true to his founding principles.

18 The J3 will de a true driver's machine with a real 50s 'seat of the pants', 'wind in the hair' experience. In its 'basic' form it will have 450+bhp, with a sub 4.5 second 0-60.

19 The J3 will handle, ride, stop and start as a modern car. It will have variable electronic power steering and other creature comforts. It will not have anything that suppresses driver involvement.

22 The all-new Allard J3 will be competitively priced from 150k on launch, for build production in limited numbers.

In their place at the front will be rack and pinion steering, suspension wishbones with an anti-roll bar and a coil over damper arrangement with disc brakes. At the rear, Allard de-dion axle with disc brakes, twin radius rod, Panhard rod, coil springs and telescopic dampers. The launch of the new Allard J3 will be fully supported by a major branding, PR and advertising campaign.

28 There is already considerable interest and speculation with many magazines already very keen to feature Allard. Strong relationships have already been established with the Allard Owners Club and the Allard Register in the US. The Allard J3 and JR will debut at the Goodwood Revival meeting in 2018.

29 Both classic car and historic motor racing enthusiasts will be targeted in the UK and US, where the brand is revered. Considerable success has been enjoyed in the US by a company producing GRP bodied J2X replicas.

30 Whilst some buyers may wish to race their cars in a highly tuned form, it is anticipated that for most it will be a second or third, summer car to be used at weekends and holidays.

32 The anticipated cost to re launch Allard, complete the JR, build three J3s and bring to market is 500k.

33 Allard Sports Cars Limited is seeking external investment to help fund this exciting project and bring back the legendary Allard brand.

34 The classic car market has grown significantly world-wide in the past three years. This has stimulated considerable interest in 'continuation' cars, such as the Aston Martin DB4GT, Jaguar XKSS, Lister 'Knobbly', Range Rover and Land Rover Series I.

35 Many are seen as 'replicas'. As such many are not eligible for major events. The Allard J3 will be an evolutionary new car, built by the Allard family with continuing build numbers. Original Allard designer, Dudley Hume and chief engineer, David Hooper, are both fully on board.

36 Notably, the new Lister 'Knobbly' has recently been invited by Lord March to compete at Goodwood. This is the first time 'continuation' cars have been permitted. It establishes an important precedent and the opportunity for competitive motor racing once again for Allard and perhaps, in the future, even a possible racing team.

37 The Allard family continue to own all the rights to the Allard brand and all Allard cars. All original drawings, bucks, tooling, archives etc are housed at the company's workshops, where the cars will be built in-house, with specialist services brought in as necessary. A considerable parts business is already well established.

38 Subject to demand Allard is eminently scalable. Up to six J3s a year can be built at the current workshops. A dozen J3s a year is an achievable projection. More than 80% of J2Xs were exported to the US. Other potential production models are the JR and Palm Beach MkIII.

39 It is hoped that, as motor enthusiasts, potential investors would take a keen interest in the development of the Allard brand and perhaps have a longer term involvement. Shorter term, investors will be offered a good return on a phased investment, secured on vehicles and component parts. Expressions of interest are invited.
