The tough, non-rusting GRP body is hand laminated using only the finest quality materials, and it's built to last. t's easy to see why we are fast establishing a reputation for quality and value. The Hurricane is one of the simplest kit cars to build as it is essentially a body replacement for the Triu~ph Spitfire or GT6. Using the Spitfire folding hood and wind-down windows, and with the option of a hard-top, the Hurricane is a truly practical fun car. With it's classic style and character, it's robust construction and well thought-out design, we believe that the Hurricane is simply the best Triumph based component car available.

4 .----, Hurricanekits- Stage 1 Kit Body/Floorpan Unit Boot Lid The main body unit is a one-piece moulding of handlaminated glass reinforced plastic (GRP) construction. Materials used are best quality chopped strand mat in polyester resin, with double skinning, foam filled boxsections and marine ply reinforcement. Due to the backbone nature of the chassis, the main body is partially stressed and is therefore of robust construction. Wheel arches have returned edges and bonded-in inner wheel arches to eliminate the possibility of surface crazing from flying stones. Tubular steel subframes are bonded-in to give additional support to doors, windscreen: frame', steeri ng c01umn and dashboard. This is double-skinned GRP and is of sufficient strength to support a luggage rack if required. Kit also includes: GRP gearbox cover Steel subframe Dashboard Handbrake lever mounting Handbrake Pivot mounting Door hinges Bonnet hinges Boot hinges Radiator Grill material Building instructions All body mounting points are pre-drilled for ease of assembly, and neoprene pads are used between the chassis and body to help insulate the occupants from road noise and vibration. All GRP components are finished in grey gelcoat and require Front End This is of GRP construction with a bonded-in steel frame for mounting to the ch~ssis. How to order Simply fi11 in the order form iprovided and send to us with the required deposit. You will then receive your building instructions and a collection date for your kit. Spares and repairs We can supply replacement panels or sections, as required, whereas most mechanical parts are easily obtainable through Triumph specialists. Delivery We prefer customers to collect their Hurricane kits, but if you are unable to do this, we can, of course, arrange delivery, at extra cost. nsurance Some insurance brokers will not be interested in insuring any kit car and will consequently give very high quotes. However, there are now a number of kit car insurance specialists who offer very competitive rates. f you have any difficulty with insurance we can put you in touch with one of these. Car tax and registration As the Hurricane is based on the chassis and running gear from one vehicle, the original registration is retained and therefore new car tax does not apply. Once the kit is completed, it should be taken for a normal DOE test and the DVLC should be notified of any change of colour, etc. Hurri cane kits are exempt from Type Approva 1. VAT All kits and accessories purchased from Vincent Cars are subject to VAT. Export orders, however, are exempt from VAT. Expert advice Our service doe~ not end when you take delivery of your Hurricane kit. f you need advice during any stage of the build-up of your kit we are always prepared to help. Fully built cars f you want a Hurricane but don't have the time or the inclination to build one, we sometimes have complete cars available built by us to the highest standards. Alternatively, we could build you a car to your specifications, with any tuning or suspension modifications you may require.
