Summary of Equipment This is a device to perform continuity and insulation test for sheet-form flexible printed circuit board (hereafter called work ) with printed patterns laid out on both sides as object to be tested. Continuity and insulation test of a product pattern laid out on the work is performed using a test probe fixture (jig), which is equipped on upper and lower Test Heads of the device. Loading and unloading of the works are manually performed by the operators. The configuration of the device is shown below. 3 4.2. Standard Mark 1. Target Mark This mark indicates the standard position for each test position. Any circuit pattern may be registered as Target Mark. A mark of the same shape shall not be within the view centering on the Target Mark of the image processing device. 2. Standard / Tilt Mark This mark indicates the standard/tilt position of the entire work. Any circuit pattern may be registered as Standard/Tilt Mark. A mark of the same shape shall not be within the view centering on the Standard/Tilt Mark of the image processing device. 3. Mark Location Area Same as Inspaction area 4.3. Test Capability 1. 8 6. Performance Test and Acceptance 6.1. Performance Test 1. First Performance Test The First Performance Test shall be made at Yamaha Fine Technologies plant in Japan, to confirm the performance of the equipment specified in this document chapter 4.3.3, 4.3.4, with or without the attendance of the customer (buyer). The electrical testing accuracy (chapter 4.3.3) shall be confirmed by using Yamaha Standard Resistor Unit. The contact position accuracy (chapter 4.3.4) shall be confirmed by using Precision Glass Mask Plate. The test time (chapter 4.3.5) shall be confirmed by using Yamaha Test Sample work. 2. Second Performance Test The Second Performance Test shall be made at Installation Place of the equipment after completion of installation, to confirm the performance of the equipment the same as the First Performance Test. The electrical testing accuracy (chapter 4.3.3) shall be confirmed by using Yamaha Standard Resistor Unit. The contact position accuracy (chapter 4.3.4) shall be confirmed by using Precision Glass Mask Plate. The test time (chapter 4.3.5) shall be confirmed by using Yamaha Test Sample work Acceptance The equipment shall be accepted immediately when the Second Performance Test approves the performance of the equipment the same as the First Performance Test. 7. Installation and supervision of the equipment by Yamaha or Yamaha distribuotr's engineer at customer s plant Out of the scope of Quotation The following items are out of the scope of the quotation, in addition to the items, which is not described in the paragraph 7.1. The Scope of Quotation. 1.Program data creation of specification change or an addition after order. 2.Spare Parts and Maintenance Parts 3.Arrangements of a heavy industrial machine required for unloading and a transfer in the appointed place of this equipment, reservation of a transfer way 4. Placement of the equipment using anchor bolt, etc. 5. Any fixtures and work pirces used for Performance Test and Acceptance. 8 / 14

9 8. Warranty 8.1. Warranty Period Shorter time, either 1 year after the final acceptance or running time of 2,000 hours. The product shall be repaired free of charge during the warranty period, on the condition that troubles are caused in a normal condition of use and attributable to Yamaha Fine Technologies Co., Ltd., according to the warranty policy stated in the paragraph 8.2 and Scope of Warranty The scope of Warranty is limited to repairs of the Equipment itself and its accessories. Yamaha is free from any secondary losses or damages except for the Equipment itself and its accessories resulting from accidents of the system. Parts for consumption such as Ball screw, Coupling etc. are not covered by the warranty policy Out of Warranty Yamaha Fine Technologies Co., Ltd. is free from any trouble and accidents, even in the above mentioned warranty period, in the following cases. (1) Trouble and accidents caused by improper operation or handling. (2) Trouble and accidents caused by natural disasters such as earthquake, flood, thunderbolt, blackout, voltage reduction and etc. (3) Trouble and accidents that are not related to the Equipment. (4) Trouble and accidents caused by negligence of periodic test or improper maintenance. (5) Trouble and accidents caused by the use of the equipment beyond the specified way of using. (6) Trouble and accident caused by the use of parts or maintenance parts that are not specified. (7) Trouble and accidents caused by maintenance, modifications or operation made by anyone other than persons or distributors authorized by Yamaha Fine Technologies Co., Ltd. However, we regard above countermeasures following Instruction Manuals and instructions by Yamaha Fine Technologies Co., Ltd. as exceptions. 9. Others 9.1. 13 4. Fixture size < Normal Type Fixture > The shape of fixture plate sholud be rectangle which size is included in Ø141mm circle without considering the notched corner. Refer to CASE A~C. CASE A: The maximum fixture plate size is 100 x 100mm or less. CASE B: When the fixture plate depth is over 100mm, the width is less than 100mm. CASE C: When the fixture plate width is over 100mm, the depth is less than 100mm. ex.)
