The NanoWin equal-wheel E-bike is a high-performance, electric bike, featuring high climbing capacity, waterproofed systems and a portable folding design. This bike is fun to ride and reliable to fulfil your daily transportation needs. SAFETY WARNINGS AND LIABILITY Please ensure proper usage of the e-bike and users be equipped with safety gears according to the local regulation and bylaws. Obey all traffic regulations, signs, and signals. If possible, avoid riding at night, dusk, dawn and any other time of poor visibility. To increase visibility, we recommend to have the headlight on while operating. Do not remove, replace or alter the reflectors on your own. This bike is not designed for off-road and mountain climbing/downhill use. Use extra caution in wet weather. Ride slowly on damp surfaces. Avoid hazards areas to prevent loss of control such as gravel, sand, pot holes or uneven surface. If the bicycle was purchased assembled, it is the owner s responsibility, before riding the bicycle for the first time, to make sure the bicycle has been assembled and adjusted exactly as written in this manual, and any Special Instructions supplied and to make sure all fasteners and components are securely tightened. NOTE: Periodically check that all fasteners and components are securely tightened. This product is designed to achieve excellent performance when used with genuine NanoWin accessories. NanoWin shall not be liable for any damages to this product and/or accident caused by non-genuine NanoWin accessories. 4 TO DETERMINE THE CORRECT SIZE OF BICYCLE FOR THE RIDER: Straddle the assembled bicycle with feet shoulder width apart and flat on the ground. There must be at least 1 inch of clearance (A) between the highest part of the top tube (B) and the crotch of the rider with tires properly inflated. The minimum leg-length for the rider is the highest part of the top tube plus one inch (C). (A) (B) (C) Page 3 / 12

5 I. HOW TO INSERT THE BATTERY AND UNFOLD THE E-BIKE: 1. Insert the battery into the e-bike, and connect the wires. 2. Rotate the handlebar up right, the lock catch would lock the handlebar upright. 3. Pull on the folding lock pin to release the front wheel loose. Then rotate the front of the e-bike body to unfolded position and lock in the folding handle. *Caution. Make sure the battery wires are not caught between the folding parts, as it may damage the insulating layers. Page 4 / 12

6 II. HOW TO FOLD THE E-BIKE: 1. Ensure the double kickstand is in the down position, and unlock the folding handle. Fold the body into half and lock in the folding lock pin. 2. Rotate the handlebar and fold it down to the left side of the saddle 3. Disconnect the connector before pulling the battery out. III. HOW TO START THE E-BIKE: 1. The e-bike can be activated with a key or use the passcode lock system (optional feature, see section IV ADDITIONAL ACCESSORIES PASSCODE LOCK SYSTEM for more details) 2. The speed can be adjusted with the throttle. The top sped is regulated by the speed gear located next to the throttle. The top speeds are 18, 25 and 32 km/h. IV. CHARGING: 1. Charging the e-bike: Unscrew the waterproof cover piece underneath the main body to reveal the charging port and connect the charger to the charging port. Page 5 / 12

7 A red indicator light will come on when the battery is being charged. The indicator will turn green when the battery is fully charged. Green indicator light Red indicator light Warning Do NOT open the battery or the charger casing! Ensure the battery is stored away from naked flame, heat source or explosive gas. Warning When connecting to and using a household power outlet, use only NanoWin AC charger kit designed for your e-bike. (Rated input: VAC 50/60 Hz, rated output: 54.6V). Using anything else can cause fire, overheating, or electrical shock. Page 6 / 12

8 1. Charging specification: Charging time: each battery should be fully charged within 2 to 3 hours, depending on the condition. Auto-disconnect: In order to protect the battery from overcharging and to save energy, charging will automatically stop, 2 hours after battery is charged at full capacity. Reverse polarity protection function and negative pulse charging technology: Our battery/charger are equipped with our special technology to ensure a shorter charging time, a longer life span and protect battery and charger when output terminal is damaged. 2. Power specification: Input Voltage: Power: VAC 50/60HZ 250W~280W Output Voltage (48V charger) 54.6V Output Current (48V charger) 5.0AH V. E-BIKE ADJUSTMENT AND MAINTENANCE 1. Wheels and tires Front wheel and handle bar alignment. The height and up-down handle bar position on the bike is nonadjustable, only lateral positon (left/right) can be adjusted (wheel aligning). Straddle the front wheel between your legs. Try to turn the front wheel by turning the handlebar. If the handlebar and stem turn without turning the front wheel, realign the stem with the wheel and tighten the stem bolt(s) tighter than before (about 1/2 revolution only at a time). Do this test again, until the handlebar and stem do not turn without turning the front wheel. To test the tightness of the handlebar clamp: Hold the bicycle stationary and try to move the ends of the handlebar up and down. If the handlebar moves, loosen the bolt(s) of the handlebar clamp. Put the handlebar in the correct position and tighten the bolt(s) of the handlebar clamp tighter than before. If the handlebar clamp has more than one bolt, tighten the bolts equally. Page 7 / 12

9 Do this test again, until the handlebar does not move in the handlebar clamp Tires maintenance: Frequently check the tire inflation pressure because all tires lose air slowly over time. For extended storage, keep the weight of the bicycle off the tires. Replace worn tires. To inflate the tires, use a hand or a foot pump to inflate the tires. The maximum pressure is shown on the tire sidewall. Before adding air to any tire, make sure the edge of the tire (the bead) is the same distance from the rim, all around the rim, on both sides of the tire. If the tire does not appear to be seated correctly, release air from the inner tube until you can push the bead of the tire into the rim where necessary. Add air slowly and stop frequently to check the tire seating and the pressure, until you reach the correct inflation pressure. 2. Brakes. To operate the brake, press down on the brake handles on either side of the hand bar, to avoid skidding or slipping, do not sudden compress the brakes fully. To adjust the tightness of the brakes, ensure the break handle are in natural relaxed position before loosen the brake clamping screw at position (A), then pull back the caliper until the brake pads are tightly grabbing the disc brakes rotor at (B). Then screw the brake clamping screw back in tightly (position (A)). Squeeze each brake lever firmly 10 times and ensure the brake cables are pulling the brake clamp properly and firmly. If not, repeat the above steps. Page 8 / 12

10 (B) (A) or Warning Do not over tighten the cable clamp screw. Over tightening the cable clamp screw may cut the cable and cause injury to riders to others. Periodically check the brake cables and the clamping screws to ensure tightness and proper brake operation. 3. Gears. This e-bike does not have the traditional derailleur as conventional bikes. The top speed is instead controlled by the gears located on the right handle bar. (marked position A) (A) The top speeds are 18, 25 and 32 km/h. Page 9 / 12

11 4. Lights and reflectors 4.1. Reflectors Reflectors on the E-bike are positioned according to rules and regulations, thus removing or adjusting positions. Reflectors are positioned on both wheels as well as the front of the E-bike Lights There are number of lights on this E-bike. The headlight is designed to be on all the time, the high/low beam of the headlight can be adjusted with the switch on the left handlebar. The directional indicator lights are built in the rear light unit, the control switch in located on the left handle bar, just below the high/low beam switch. Breaker lights are connected with the breaks, it will light up automatically when break levers are compressed. 5. Seat adjustment To adjust the height of the seat, release the quick release located at the bottom of the seat tube, then adjust the seat to the suitable position before fastening the quick release back in position. Ensure the quick release is tightened to avoid sudden injury. 6. Lubrication Do not over lubricate. If oil gets on the rims or the brakes, it will reduce the brake performance. Wipe excess oil off, and clean and dry completely before riding again. Use light machine oil (20W) regularly according to the table below: Page 10 / 12

12 PARTS PERIOD INSTRUCTION PEDALS Every 6 months Put 1 drop of oil where the axles go into the pedals. CHAIN Every 6 months Put 1 drop of oil on each roller of the chain. Wipe all excess oil off the chain. BRAKE LEVERS Every 6 months Put 1 drop of oil on the pivot point of each brake lever. CANTILEVER Every 6 Put 1 drop of oil on the pivot point of BRAKES months each cantilever brake. BRAKE & Every 6 Put 1 drop of oil into both ends of each CABLE months cable. REAR Every 6 Lay the bicycle on its left side. Slowly SPROCKET CLUSTER months turn the rear wheel clockwise. Put four drops of oil in the crack between the rear sprockets (which are stationary) and the freewheel body (which is turning clockwise). SHOCK FORK Every 6 months Lift up the rubber fork boot and dab a small amount of grease on the fork leg just above the plastic bushing. 7. General maintenance Frequently check all bearing, joints and moving parts of the E-bike. Seek professional to service the bike and apply oil to all bearing and moving parts if it is not running smoothly. Check for signs of corrosion, rust or damage is observed on any of the bearing or moving parts, and replace if necessary. Please contact a NanoWin authorized dealer if you are not certain. ADDITIONAL ACCESSORIES PASSCODE LOCK SYSTEM Password lock system can store up to 3 sets of passwords, these 3 sets will be recorded as 00, 01 and 02. *The default password is # To reset the password: 1. Press 7233# to reset 2. Press 00#, 01# or 02# to indicate which set of passwords to be changed 3. Input new password and end with # 4. You will hear four Beep sounds and see green lighting if password is successfully changed. If not, you will hear two Beeps and see red light. Page 12 / 12

Your E-bike and its battery contains electronics and chemicals; therefore, it must be disposed of separately from your household trash.
