1 Problem/Procedure Description How to align the toolbar on the 95s, 95sII and H100 Requirements Boardmaster 5.0 3mm Allen wrench 30 position tool bar o At least position 1 and 30 must have a tool loaded into the toolbar. Problem/Procedure Solution 1. Remove the access cover on the tool bar. a. With the 3mm Allen wrench, remove the 3 Allen screws on both side of the tool box cover. 2. Open tool box service window a. In boardmaster, go to the configuration menu and select tool box. b. If a tool is loaded, you will be prompted to put the tool to the tool box, select yes. c. After the tool is placed in the tool box, the following window will appear: Page 1 of 6

2 d. Click on the Service button. i. The following window will appear. e. Enter the password and press ok. i. The password is bmaster Note: Once the password has been entered, all tool change functions can be operated manually and independently of one another. f. Place a check in the deflate pneumatics check box. i. This will allow you to manually lift the tool box during the alignment process. 3. Align the first tool position to the auxillary clamp. a. Verify that there is a tool into tool position #1 and #30 b. If there is not a tool in position #1, lift the toolbar as shown below and place a random tool into tool position #1 and #30. Page 2 of 6

3 c. In the tool box window, under the first tool position, press move. d. Press the main clamp open button. i. This also opens the auxillary clamp. d. Lift the tool box up. e. Verify that the tool goes into the auxillary clamp smoothly. f. If the tool goes into the auxillary clamp smoothly, go to step 5. g. If the tool does not go into the auxillary clamp smoothly, note which direction the tool is having difficulty entering the auxillary clamp. h. In the four-directional step box, place 0.1 into the step rate space. i. Move the machine head one step in the direction required. j. Manually lift the tool box up. k. Repeat steps 5 e through 5 k as required. Page 3 of 6

4 l. In the tool box window, under the auxillary clamp at first tool position, press read. i. The numbers of the first tool position will change. 4. Align the last tool position to the auxillary clamp. a. Lift the tool box up and move the tool from position 1 to position 30. b. Repeat the process for the last tool position as stated above for the first tool position. Note: Boardmaster will calculate the locations of tool positions 2 through Align the auxillary clamp to the exchange clamp a. Lift the tool box and remove the tool from the last tool position. b. Place the tool into the auxillary clamp c. While holding the tool in the auxillary clamp, close the main clamp d. In the tool box menu, under the auxillary clamp to exchange position, press move. e. Repeat the alignment process for the exchange clamp the same way it was done for the first tool position (step 3). 6. Align the exchange clamp to the main clamp a. Open the auxillary clamp b. Place the tool into the exchange clamp c. Press the exchange clamp close button. d. In the tool box window, under main clamp over exchange, press move. e. Repeat the alignment process for the main clamp the same way it was done for the first tool position. Page 4 of 6

5 7. Align the main clamp to the depth sensor (H100 only) a. Keep the tool in the main clamp b. In the tool box window, under depth sensor, press move. c. Press the head down button d. Verify that the tool is located in the center of the sensor. e. Press the head up button. f. Adjust the position as required so that the tool is touching the middle of the sensor. g. In the tool box window, under main clamp over sensor, press read. 8. Remove the tool from the main clamp a. In the tool box menu, under the main clamp to exchange position, press the move button. b. Press the main clamp open button. c. The tool should fall out into the exchange position. d. Remove the tool from the exchange position. 9. Verify all of the clamps are in the correct position. a. Exchange clamp: open b. Main clamp/auxillary clamp: closed 10. Remove the check from the deflate pnuematic check box. 11. Press OK 12. Shut down boardmaster to overwrite the INI files. 13.
