If skillfully incorporated into the design, light becomes an essential element of the composition. It must suit a particular need while creating style and atmosphere. Architecture and light become one. Waldmann Lighting s RL Architectural tubular lighting series, constructed with impact-resistant acrylic tubes, is ideal for accenting both indoor and outdoor locations, including building interiors and exteriors, train stations, airports, parks, and virtually any place where linear lighting is needed. Public areas, corridors and staircases form the arteries of all types of buildings. Waldmann Lighting s RL protective tube lighting is ideal for lighting pathways, corridors, staircases; even waterways and bridges. Light can turn night into day and provide a safe environment when used in public spaces. Great effects can be achieved with simple elements thoughtfully employed. The interplay between architecture and lighting can also benefit from the less is more approach. Three types of RL series luminaires make this a very versatile line. The RL40 series features a slim, 1.57-inch outer diameter tube available in lengths of 26 to 80 inches and uses energy-efficient T5HO lamps that are offered in 24, 39, 54, and 80 watts. In addition, T8 lamps are offered in 17, 32 and 40 watts. All lamps are rated for a 20,000 hour lamp life. The RL70 series is also available in a variety of lengths and wattages. The larger tube has a 2.75-inch diameter in lengths of 30 to 84 inches. These are offered in either clear or satine finish with optional gel sleeves for unique color applications. They can be used independently or easily daisy-chained in runs of up to ten luminaires. The RL70 Pedestal versions are innovative, stand-alone light columns which feature the 2.75-inch acrylic tube with a bolt-down vandal-resistant flange. As part of the RL70 series, these luminaires can easily be mounted indoors or out.

The smaller diameter makes the luminaire ideal for illuminating compact areas where space is limited.
