4 THE NEW MHP 20/27: TIME HAS COME FOR A REVOLUTION Today s farmers are looking for machines offering the highest productivity level while cutting cost through reduced downtime and optimized fuel consumptions. Agricultural machinery OEMs are always looking at more performing, robust and fuel-efficient solution when it comes to their hydrostatic transmission. To respond to these needs, Poclain Hydraulics launches a brand new generation of hydraulic motors : the MHP20 & MHP27. The hydraulic motors MHP20 & MHP27 represent the keystones of the new HIGH PERFORMANCE range exclusively developed by Poclain Hydraulics. A complete team oriented towards never seen performances [Re]Engineered As a result of many years of design and validation, the MHP20/27 has for ambition to constitute a new reference for cam-lobe hydraulic motors, when it comes to performances or reliability, while representing the perfect solution to optimize the fuel consumption. 4

With the MHP20/27, Poclain Hydraulics introduces a new configuration of rotating group, especially designed to permit high rotation speed (up to 370rpm) and power level (up to 280kW), which are key features to improve productivity and performances of your machine. The level of power achieved with the MHP20/27 allows to re-consider the borders of standard hydraulic transmission with for instance permitting increase of the machine weight, without compromise to the maximum speed (on field and road) and gradeability offered. [Re]Designed Thanks to the most advances calculation and simulation tools, every shape of the part had been optimized to the last detail. Fuel consumption and reduction of emission has become over the last years a critical concern for any farmers community, who wants to optimize production costs while ensuring respect of the environment. This is why, you have now, as part of their priorities, the oportunity to propose machines with the lowest environmental footprint and thus with a strong focus on having efficient and optimized hydraulic transmission. Taking benefits of its innovative and optimized design, the MHP20/27 manages to greatly eliminate the losses normally created into any hydraulic units : this motor can then display global efficiency values over 90%, even when working at the highest speed (thanks to reduced displacement). [Re]duce noise Poclain Hydraulics deploys many resources to optimize the level of noise of its products. In order to remain fully effective and productive even during the most active periods, farmer s expectations have also evolved to more comfortable machines, for which noise takes a large part. Besides of the special work on every part to reduce noise level, the technology of the MHP20/27 takes advantage of offering direct drive (no gear ratio) which results in having lower internal component s speed : consequence is a reduction of the noise level such as frequency, even at the maximum operating speed. 5

Thanks to its compactness and modularity, the integration of the MHP motor on your machine is greatly facilitated, which helps to cut design and assembly cost, while allowing them to offer versatile and adapted solution to end-customers. Designed with a closed cover and high sealing protection, the MHP20/27 will be able to handle chemicals, dirt, dust, water, shocks and other demanding operating conditions. With its strong attachments (proposed either on cover or bearing) and heavy duty bearing support, the MHP20/27 are able to handle high external loads : it also guarantees to OEMs the possibility to increase machine weight, either to accommodate higher payload or heavier components like the engine. 6

12 The PWe : Plug & Drive TM by Poclain Hydraulics The PWe is designed to meet all customers requirements, point by point. The on-board electronic control unit gives them access to a high level of safety for their control systems. The control software, pre-installed at the factory, contains all the necessary functions to meet customers needs in the area of performance, comfort and safety. Its communication capacities make it easy to install and it integrates seamlessly with the rest of the machineries. On-board electronic control unit The PWe s on-board electronic control unit can withstand the harshest environments, in cluding proximity to the internal combustion engine. The IP69K type electrical connections and the factory-installed harness are tested at the end of the assem bly line before delivery. The 2 integrated CAN bus allow you to share information with the rest of the machine (internal combus tion engine, displays, hydraulic components...), configure and diagnose machines. 12

13 Standard software features The software package pre-installed on every PWe on-board electronic control unit provides access to a set of features designed to enhance the comfort and safety of the machine and individuals. They are activated on a strictly as-needed basis, thus removing the need for any additional, costly software development. This helps to reduce development time and let customers control costs. Operating safety Any Off-Road machine sold on the market of the European Community must comply with Machinery Directive 2006/42/ EC and related standards such as ISO The PW & PWe range fitted with Poclain Hydraulics electronic system allows to reach a high level of safety for control systems. Compatible with Performance Level d (Safety Level PL-d according to ISO ), it guarantees full compliance with the standards in force. 14 SD CT 200/300 to complete HIGH PERFORMANCE offer Operating safety and unequalled performances Machine operating safety is now one of the issues that any manufacturer must integrate from the machine design stage. Electronic control integration allows to increase the added value of machines with regard to productivity, energy efficiency and comfort. Poclain Hydraulics is introducing a new range of CT 200 and CT 300 SmartDrive calculators capable of meeting these requirements in all regards. They offer functional security and operational safety capacities in line with the most demanding standards. Their large calculation capacity and the large number of inputs and outputs allow customers to efficiently operate their machines' hydrostatic transmission. 14

15 Complies with the machines' safety requirements Any Off-Road machine placed on the European Community market must meet the 2006/42/EC directive and the associated standards such as ISO The new SD CT calculators provide a high safety level for control systems. Compatible with the Level d performance level (PL-d according to ISO ), they guarantee compliance with the standards in force. Designed for Off-Road & On-Road applications Their E-certified electromagnetic compatibility and their security architecture capable of the PLd level allow them to be used for Off-Road and On-Road applications. Performances & Added values Robustness SD CT calculators are designed to be used in extreme conditions. Operational over a temperature range of -40 C C, they also function in the case of immersion under a meter of water (IP67). Their electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), certified 'E', makes them compatible with the most demanding uses. Calculation power SD CT calculators are made efficient by incorporating an electronic architecture built around a 32- bit microprocessor and a 8-bit auxiliary microprocessor. They have a calculation capacity compatible with machines safety, comfort and energy efficiency requirements. These technical characteristics provide access to sophisticated software functions that guarantee efficient and accurate control of applications. 15

16 Communication The SD CT calculators have large communication capacities. The 3 integrated CAN buses allow to share information (heat engine, hydraulic components, etc.), and configure and diagnose machine. Equipped with 42 high-power inputs and 23 high-power outputs, they provide accurate control of the hydrostatic transmission. A high added-value offer. The SD CT offer is accompanied by a panel of software components with all of the features required by machines. Each customer can control all of the pumps available on the market. They also allow to manage transmission errors and their diagnosis. 17 MEDIUM DUTY RANGE A new size for the pump range, the PM30 In March 2014 at the Conexpo tradeshow in the United States, Poclain Hydraulics unveiled the first pump from its brand new PM range (the PM50). Today, Poclain Hydraulics presents at the Agritechnica tradeshow its little sister: the PM30. Designed according to the same rules as the PM50, the PM30 has been especially developed to meet all customers expectations in terms of productivity, comfort, reliability and efficiency. This pump is well suited to the most demanding markets like mower, wheel loader, compactors, platforms etc. Design to Performances & Comfort: End users can now take full advantage of performance and comfort when using their machines. The new range of PM hydraulic pumps provides all necessary monitoring for all machines available on the market. Whether mechanical, hydraulic or electrical - proportional units, they have all been redesigned with special emphasis on detail and efficiency. With the aim of further improving the working environment of the driver, particular care was taken to reduce noise levels. The new range of PM hydraulic pumps offers an extremely compact design due to a reduced axial length and the integration of additional functions such as exchange or anti-stall without compromising external dimensions. 19 The electro-proportional servo-control with feedback system now available on the PM50. The arrival of the electro-proportional servo-control with feedback system on PM50 pumps is an opportunity for customers to design machines that offer optimal driving comfort. Thanks to its technology, the Q control enables an extremely accurate control of acceleration ramps, but also eliminates any sudden jolts when accelerating or braking. The feedback system corrects displacement variations caused by varying pressure during an application (pressure variations in the system). The speed of the machine is thus maintained whatever the movements and variations in pressure, which again increases its accuracy. The user will be able to move with ease and position their machine with precision. This control is perfectly suited to cutter-type applications, harvesting machines, finishing machines, sweepers, etc. New in the Medium Duty range - The speed sensor available on the M2 and M3 high-speed motors The speed sensor option ( SS option) enables the delivery of a very accurate image of the high-speed motor s speed. This awaited option enables a better handling of the hydrostatic transmission by allowing for a very accurate control of the travel speed of the machine whatever the pressure in the system. The user s comfort is thus increased. This option will be particularly useful for compactor-type applications, electric generator drive units, drive units for fans in cooling systems, etc. 19

20 THE RANGE OF MZ HYDRAULIC MOTORS DESIGNED FOR SWING DRIVE. Poclain Hydraulics is adding to its offer with the creation of the MZ hydraulic motor designed to drive the swing drives of 2 to 8 ton mini-excavators. MZ motors are distinguished by their compactness that makes them easier to build into machines. These high torque motors also improve operator productivity, accuracy and comfort. Make-up valve Easier integration into the machine : The overall size of the MZ motor has been optimized thanks to the maximum integration of the make-up and anti-rebound valves. Its improved compactness offers new design options for mini-excavator manufacturers. Anti-rebound valve Enhanced productivity of the machine : The increased efficiency of the MZ motors helps to make the most of the power installed on the machine, thus offering improved acceleration, a guarantee of productivity. Thanks to their low internal losses, the MZ motors contribute to reducing the fuel consumption of miniexcavators.. Ring gear Pinion shaft Increased maneuvering precision : The built-in valves ensure smoother engagement during the shut-down phase of the turret and help to avoid any rebound. Coupled with the radial piston motor technology, these valves guarantee extremely accurate positioning of the mini-excavator boom. The technical characteristics of the MZ motor prevent the swing drive from drifting when operating on sloping ground.. Improved driver comfort: - The integrated valve technology in the MZ motors helps to eliminate shocks and inadvertent movement when stopped. - The cab s acoustic comfort has also been improved thanks to the low noise emission of the MZ motors. 22 THE MS05/MSE05 HIGH FLOW MOTOR NOW AVAILABLE IN SYMMETRICAL 2-DISPLACEMENT The MS05/MSE05 benefits from a new valving, the design of which has been optimized to reduce pressure drops considerably (a 50% reduction in pressure drops has been recorded compared to the standard MS05/MSE05 model). It has also been fitted with a closed and more robust cover. The symmetrical 2-displacement valving now available enables all customers to benefit from the performance of this motor in both motor rotation directions. Optimized design Thanks to its new design, the MS High Flow range can withstand the most heavy-duty of workloads and the most extreme environmental conditions. Maximum productivity Thanks to their new design, the motors from the MS HIGH FLOW range can reach speeds that are 50% higher without any additional pressure drops. As such, they can ensure better machine productivity. Minimum consumption The motors from the MS HIGH FLOW range also enable a reduction in pressure drops of 50%. 23 And now the symmetrical 2-displacement As it is now available in symmetrical 2-displacement, the MS05/MSE05 High Flow no longer has a preferred rotation direction and promotes a maximum speed whatever the machine s direction of travel. This characteristic is particularly useful in rail/road applications for example. This option also means that only a single reference needs to be used for the left and right motors of a vehicle, and thus simplifies the chains of supply and assembly. 24 NEW VB-010 AND VB-002: NEW GENERATION Among many valves that we provide in Poclain Hydraulics, a dedicated family, used for power braking (VB) is known for many years. Today we are introducing a new improved generation of brake valves (VB), starting with single circuit VB-010 and park brake VB-002. Thanks to all improvements in design of casted body and internal components, we can experience a product with improved performance, when compared to existing VB products. With it s small and compact overall size the product performance and stability can also be compared to competitive products with much bigger dimensions. New VB-010 and VB-002 therefore is product with: Reduced weight Improved performance, Increased inlet max pressure (250bar) Reduced pressure drop Improved reactivity, Interchangeability capacities are assured, because product conserves same fixation points as previous standard VB-010 and VB-002. 25 EXTENDED OFFER OF 6/2 SELECTOR VALVES APPLICATIONS With its existing range of standard and customized valves Poclain hydraulic is an important player in the field of selector valves offering solutions for flow range up to 250 l/min and pressure range up to 450 bar. Poclain Hydraulics launches a new type of selector valve Type KVH-6/2-8 This new valve has been optimized for applications with flow rate l/min and working pressure up to 250 bar. A max pressure of 315 bar can be reached with the option of external drainage. The design of the valve housing and spools has been optimized in terms of weight, pressure drop and internal leakage and the valve can be used as a single 6/2 valve or in bankable assembly of -2, -3 or more valve sections This new product has many benefits : the efficiency is improved, the internal leakage is decreased and the ratio high performance /low weight is optimized. Design of the new housing has been optimized for reduced weight, reduced pressure losses and reduced internal leakage.
