This results in a maximum efficiency improvement of up to 45%, greatly increasing fuel savings keeping in mind that an increase of 1% efficiency can result in saving thousands of liters/gallons of fuel per year and the corresponding financial savings. In addition, the engine s capability of reducing the rated speed from 1,800 rpm to 1,500 rpm can further save between 3% to 5% fuel consumption and extend engine component life. High availability The D9812 has been designed for extended maintenance intervals. Its carefully thought-out and maintenance-friendly design allows quick and easy servicing.
