42 Testing facilities Strain gauge measurements We perform strain gauge measurements during static or dynamic loading. Readings up to 16 measurement points can be recorded simultaneously. Equipment: Strain gauges (350 Ohm of different configurations) for unidirectional and multi-directional measurements Data acquisition system synchronised with loading Fatigue testing Since 2015 we have been able to perform fatigue testing of mooring chain and components. Equipment: Dynamic testing machine Loading capacity 700 tons (7000 ) Test frequencies Hz Testing in air at ambient temperature Testing in sea water is available beginning 2016 Testing at low temperatures down to -60 Proof & Breaking Load Testing Non-Destructive Testing Since 2007 we have been testing our components using our own on-site testing machine. Along with usual proofload and breaking load tests we also perform testing according to customer specifications. Equipment: Static tension machine loading capacity 2,000 tons (20,000 ) Calibration certificates by MPA Certification by LR Testing at low temperatures down to -60 We perform ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspections on a daily basis using the most modern equipment. Our NDT procedures are approved and conform with standards of class societies. Our Level 2 and Level 3 personnel is able to perform NDT of cast and forged material in a wide range of sizes.
