8 Results 93 responses to each question. 100% participation received. 92/93 surveyed supports further pursuit of stop arm violations. 87/93 patrons encourages use of a fuel source other than diesel for our buses. 14 What if? Gas commodity based on the Southern Star Central Index from Sept 2014-Aug 2015 $ 0.33 Electricity demand charge to make CNG. Estimated cost, we won t have firm cost until the station is operational, but this is based on comparable stations $ 0.14 Estimated fees/tariffs charged by the local utility for delivery of the gas commodity through their local infrastructure/pipelines $ 0.24 Any applicable state and federal road/sales taxes, these should be minimal or nil for a school district (BSSD to include as necessary) $ - Total Estimated Cost per Diesel Gallon Equivalent $ 0.71 Federal Tax Credit if renewed as it has been since 2006 $ 0.55 Estimated Cost per Diesel Gallon Equivalent after applying federal credit $ 0.16 Based on the Tax Credit Renewal Approved Dec 15, 2015: BSSD would have saved $15, on the fuel shipment (12,700 Gal) in December, BSSD annual savings in FY 2016 would have been $3,828 on one bus. BSSD annual savings in FY 2016 would have been $95,709 on 25 buses. BSSD annual savings in FY 2016 would have been $459,407 on 120 buses. As of Dec 31, 2015

Internal and external working groups were formed and, together, we concluded that Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel was the best option for our district s future bus purchases. After the March, 2015 meeting of the Board of Education, BSSD issued RFPs for a fuel station and 120 buses (5 phases/years). These were awarded by the BoE in May, 2015.
