4 SPRING LOADED CLAMPS, CABLE AND FERRULES for Medium Voltage Overhead Lines Spring loaded automatic clamps are designed for medium voltage overhead lines. Salisbury offers two spring loaded clamps that meet IEC standards. The ESMTM-LAR6 clamp is for use on overhead lines and has a fault current capability of 8 ka/1s for conductor sizes from 0 to 18 mm. The ESMTM-LAR7 clamp is for use when working on overhead lines and has a fault current capability of 8 ka for conductor sizes from 0 to 22 mm. The ESMTM-JE.M earthing clamp is an integral part of the ground reel and provides proper connection to the ground rod. ESMTM-LAR7 ESMTM-JE.M ESMTM-LAR6 Spring loaded clamps are easy to apply to an overhead line Conveniently positioned eyelet at the top of the clamps allow for easy removal from the conductor Lightweight Salisbury EARTHING CABLE is constructed of strands of high quality copper and protected by either an extra flexible silicone or a more durable PVC jacket. The service temperature for PVC cable is -20º to 70º C. The service temperature for silicone cable is -40º to 200º C. It is recommended to use silicone jacketed cable in confined spaces and in high and low temperature weather conditions. ESATM-CMA With Earthing Cable and ESMTM-JE.M Ground Clamp *Earthing cable is sold per meter. Minimum purchase required. Please contact customer service for additional information. Ferrules are crimped on the conductor strands only, providing a low resistant connection between the clamp and the cable. These ferrules are manufactured of tin plated, 99.9% copper. 5 ACCESSORIES AND TOOLS The storage reel is an easy and convenient way to store cable. Cable reels are used to connect the earthing system to the ground rod. The cluster plate is designed to assist the linemen when applying and removing the clamps from overhead conductors. A hexagonal ground rod is used on rocky or hard surfaces to connect the earthing assembly to the earth. Made of galvanized steel. ESATM-CMA 4213 The earthing assembly storage bag easily transports and protects earthing assemblies. Hotstick tools can be used to safely assist a lineman when applying the earthing assembly on to the conductor. The universal head conveniently connects the cluster plate attachment to the hotstick. Salisbury hotsticks meet ASTM F711 standard specifications for FRP and tubes used in live line tools and IEC 855.
