7 7 WELCH INDUSTRIES Many of our customers are converting MCI s from R-22 to R-134. If done RIGHT and your compressor and condenser is in good condition, your coach will cool well. If it has an 05G-37 compressor, a 41 CI will help, but you may get good results without changing compressor. R-421A, R-427A, and MO-99 is working well in place of R-22, we recommend changing to Polyolester Oil, no other changes necessary. You may have received an advertisement (usually a card in the mail) for a substitute **DON T BUY IT!!** Some substitutes are a flammable gas and your insurance company won t like it, it simply should not be used in a motor coach. Several of the substitutes have higher head pressure than R-22 - the LAST thing you need! CONVERSION KIT - MCI MC Coaches (w/ 05G Compressors) Coaches w/r22 probably have 37ci compressors... most use 41ci w/r134 If compressor is in very good condition, cooling will not be much less-otherwise change out with 41 ci compressor.
