5 5 Calculating the total costs over a usage period of 15 years makes the potential savings clear: a lighting solution using VALUEA saves up to 40 % compared with a lighting installation that uses metal halide lamps. Dimmable lighting solutions which, ideally, are linked to daylight sensors and presence detectors deliver light just in time. This is how VALUEA minimises current operating costs while, at the same time, ensuring excellent lighting quality. Expenditure on maintenance and repairs is also reduced thanks to long maintenance intervals, dimmable ballasts and long-life lamps.

Taking the entire service life of a luminaire into account, it becomes evident that operation provides by far the greatest scope for saving resources and cutting costs.

7 7 8 VALUEA IP 64 4/80 W The importance attached to good high-bay lighting has increased over recent years. VALUEA uses modern fluorescent lamps and high-performance reflectors. The result is excellent lighting quality with a good colour rendering index (> 80) and several optics for adaptable light distribution. Compared with metal halide lamps, VALUEA offers huge potential savings in industrial bays and trade fair halls, sports halls, multifunction halls as well as in new buildings. Up until relatively recently, metal halide lamps were used for high-bay lighting because this type of lamp delivered the required quantity of light. Due to the lack of adequate alternatives, there was no choice but to accept long warm-up times and cool-down periods before halide lamps could re-strike. The basic unit already features a series of practical functions such as dimming, a central ON/OFF function and a lighting scene. According to needs, various components can be connected to this central module for extending functionality. Whether convenient control units such as the CIRCLE control point, presence detectors or a light sensor for daylight-based control of lighting, all have one thing in common: just connect them up and you re finished.
