2 AUSTRALIA Peugeot 307, 308 and Expert Exterior Lighting Malfunction PRODUCT DESCRIPTION 307, 308 and Expert vehicles manufactured between December 2006 till February IDENTIFYING FEATURES Campaign: YWB Target Number: 307 SUPPLIER Sime Darby Automobiles Pty Ltd t/as Peugeot Automobiles Australia HAZARDS The lighting switch position may be incorrectly detected by the lighting management system. In rare cases, this may cause the exterior lights to inadvertenly cut out with no action taken by the driver. DEFECTS These vehicles had a previous safety recall campaign to download new lighting control software to the management system. There is a possibility that this software upgrade did not complete satisfactorily and therefore, the vehicle requires the latest software upgrade to be performed. CONSUMERS ACTION A registered letter is being sent to all owners contactable by Peugeot Automobiles Australia within the affected VIN range. AUSTRALIA Volvo S60, S80, V70, XC60 and XC70 HAZARDS CONSUMERS ACTION PRODUCT DESCRIPTION S60, S80, V70, XC60 and XC70 vehicles MY 2010 to IDENTIFYING FEATURES VIn Range: S to S to V to XC to XC to Campaign Number: R89140 Target Number: 1308 SUPPLIER Volvo Car Australia Pty Ltd If the short circuit occurs during driving and the driver ignores the warning, in the event of an accident where the deployment of the driver's airbag is required, the airbag may not deploy as intended or not deploy at all. DEFECTS There may be an electrical short circuit in the driver's airbag clockspring wiring connector. If the deviation occurs the supplemental restraint system lamp (SRS) will be permanently lit and the message "AIRBAG SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED" will be displayed in the Driver Information Module (DIM). Contact your authorised Volvo dealer to have the driver's airbag clockspring wiring connector upgraded. Page 2

SUPPLIER'S WEB SITE HAZARDS If the clamp is installed incorrectly, fuel may leak into the engine compartment, creating the potential for an explosion and/or fire resulting in injury or death. DEFECTS On some units, the lower fuel pump clamp may have been installed incorrectly at the factory. CONSUMERS ACTION Customers will be contacted by their Kawasaki dealer and referred to an authorised repairer for correct installation of the clamp if necessary. CONSUMERS ACTION All owners of affected vehicles will be notified by Recall Notification Letter. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Toyota Dealership for inspection and replacement of the rear propeller shaft guard. DEFECTS It is possible that the rubber seal portion at the rear end of the brake master cylinder may turn and brake fluid may leak from the seal portion, causing the warning light to be illuminated. Campaign Numbers: C11 Tiida D40 Navara - PS0BF R51 Pathfinder - PS0BF Target Numbers: C11 Tiida -6,539 D40 Navara R51 Pathfinder - 79 In the extreme case, the resulting poor contact can potentially result in the engine stalling and failure to restart the vehicle. DEFECTS A concern affecting the intelligent power distribution module (IPDM) relay has been identified. There is a possibility that the ignition relay contacts in the IPDM may become contaminated with a build up of silicon oxide due to silicon evaporating from the relay diode. This can lead to poor conduction at the relay contacts. Nissan will shortly mail directly to the owners of affected vehicles advising them to return the vehicle to a Nissan dealer to have the relay replaced free of charge with a counter-measure part. Campaign Number: 0516K Target Numebr: 25, 783 SUPPLIER Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Ltd HAZARDS If the defect occurs, a small amount of brake fluid could leak from the rear of the brake master cylinder resulting in a low brake fluid level and illumination of the brake warning light. If the vehicle is operated in this condition, the brake pedal feel could change, and eventually braking performance could begin to gradually degrade. DEFECTS CONSUMERS ACTION All owners of affected vehicles will receive a Recall Notification Letter. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Toyota Dealership for inspection and replacement of the rear rubber cup of the brake master cylinder. During vehicle assembly, Toyota brake fluid contains polymers that act as a lubricant for certain brake system components. If the replacement brake fluid used has insufficient polymers, the brake master cylinder rear rubber seal may become dry and curl during brake application. AUSTRALIA Toyota Lexus GS300 GRS190 Fuel Suction Tube Connector Replacement PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Certain Lexus GS300 vehicels produced from 28 September 2004 to 28 February IDENTIFYING FEATURES See attached VIN range. Target Number: 674 Campaign Number: 0515K SUPPLIER Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Limited HAZARDS The engine may not start or may stall while driving due to a loss of fuel pressure. DEFECTS The fuel suction tube assembly is located in the fuel tank and incorporates the fuel pump and wiring power supply. The fuel pump wire harness insulation has insufficient flexibility and over time the internal connector may move resulting in wear and poor electrical contact. CONSUMERS ACTION All owners of affected vehicles will receive a Recall Notification Letter. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Toyota Dealership for inspection and replacement of the fuel pump wire harness. Page 5

DEFECTS It is possible that during extreme weather conditions the air-conditioning fan relay may fail. Under specific vehicle operating conditions, the fuel pump s commutator could experience an increase in wear. This wear could lead to fuel pump malfunction and engine stalling. These cracks can propagate and cause the spindle to detach from the axle tube, resulting in the separation of the wheel end from the vehicle, creating a road hazard that increases the risk of a crash to other vehicles, and compromises the driver's control of the vehicle increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
