1 To the point Rotary tables At FIBRO in Weinsberg, the focus of the product range had long been on RotoCutting, i.e. on rotary tables for machine tools. Approximately two years ago the FIBROMAT heavy-load positioning table marked a turning point in this strategy. It quickly became apparent that the 50 years of machining experience of the rotary table pioneer repeatedly provided valuable input in installation and handling as well. A consistent innovative strategy should now ensure that the RotoMotion area continues to grow. The goal: System automation should become even more efficient. FIBROMAT A flat and powerful power package For Managing Director Jürgen Gurt the success of the FIBROMAT was no surprise. "The modular and price-performance optimized concept of the permanently lubricated and maintenance-free positioning table fulfills precisely the requirements of our customers in the automobile industry: They require short delivery times and a high degree of flexibility with process adaptations as well as technically mature rotating modules that are optimized for small spaces."these were precisely the criteria that were used to develop this rotary table. The first OEM approvals arrived in record time. Since then the flat power package with its short switching times and its large central borehole have set standards in the positioning table area for body shell construction and welding applications. The modular design allows drive, bearing and the number of stop positions to be customised to the respective application. In the meantime, the program includes four sizes ranging from 800 to 1600 mm. The rotary tables can accept equipment setups with a diameter of 4500 to 9500 mm. Depending on the size, the permitted transport load amounts to 10,000 kg to 25,000 kg. FIBRODYN DM - High-speed rotary table for handling and assembly FIBRO brings yet another new development to the market at the Motek. This product is a price-performance optimised, directly driven rotary table for dynamic applications in handling and assembly. Slim and especially powerful D Weinsberg T

2 Page 2 / 5 FIBRODYN DM allows for a 20% higher loading than comparable rotary tables on the market and thus fulfills the ideal requirements for a very compact system design. Fitted boreholes and standardised cable plug-in modules facilitate a very fast and simple integration into the most diverse range of system types. The direct drive is designed to be free of play, wear-free and maintenance-free, and a measuring system integrated into the axis of the rotary table allows it to consecutively move to any position immediately with an indexing accuracy of +/- 21 angle seconds and a repeat accuracy of +/- 7 angle seconds. The rotary table is also available as decentralised all-in-one solution with integrated control. Because this version has an integrated control, it means that an external NC control is not necessary, which minimizes the integration and commissioning effort and complexity, thus allowing smaller systems to be realised without complex peripherals. The integrated control FIBRODRIVE plus features an SPS, Profibus or Profinet interface. The intuitive software FIBRO Servolink and a standard integrated teach function makes the rotary table very easy to operate. Alternatively, the desired rotary positions can be freely programmed. As of autumn 2013, the FIBRODYN DM will be available in three sizes and will cover a large application range. The high-speed assembly table does not require a cooling system and can thus be integrated into the most diverse range of systems with minimum effort. The FIBRODYN DM features a very high torque which allows particularly short switching times to be realized. A large central opening facilitates the passage of different medium such as energy and signals. FIBROTOR The highest energy efficiency now with extended warranty The durable cam-controlled FIBROTOR series rotary tables, which are utilised as assembly, positioning or magazine tables have evolved. For almost one year now, all FIBROTOR have been equipped with fixed division with a special cam drive that reduces energy consumption by 20%. Alternatively, due to the improved drive, higher masses can be moved, shorter switching times can be realized, or smaller rotary tables can be used. The new drive cam proved itself so successful in continuous tests that FIBRO increased the warranty period to 3 years (and to 5 with frequency converter) for this optimised rotary table while

Because the sequence programme for clockwise, anticlockwise or oscillating operation is already included when a frequency converter is used and because the electrical implementation occurs at FIBRO, this reduces the commissioning complexity to a minimum. At Motek, FIBRO is going one step further: With the help of an intelligent, decentral drive, which combines motor and control, FIBROTOR NC rotary tables will be completely autonomous i.e. without separate NC control. A decided advantage particularly with compact new systems or retrofits of existing systems for handling and assembly. In a word Mr. Gaschik For two years now FIBRO has significantly expanded its activities in the assembly and handling area. What's behind this? With more than 150 different rotary table types, FIBRO offers the world's most extensive rotary table range from a single source. We are now utilizing this know-how in the assembly and handling area more intensively. Three central aspects are the focus of our development projects: Efficiency, flexibility, and reliability. Can you give us an example? Due to a special drive cam, smaller rotary tables can be utilized with the implementation of the new FIBROTOR for the energy consumption can be reduced by approximately 20%. At the same time, we have been able to extend the warranty period by up to 5 years. But that was not enough: We also wanted users to recognize the potential and range that our program offers. It doesn t always have to be a high-end solution to achieve perfect results. Users who invest in a direct-driven FIBRODYN DM instead of a cam-controller FIBROTOR can expect to reduce their investment costs by up to 50%. And they also gain a great deal of flexibility. Won t this make FIBRO it's own biggest competitor? Not at all. Our goal is to achieve the best solution for our customers. And this is exactly what users reward. A good example is the modular concept of the FIBROMAT, which facilitates customized solutions at a comparably affordable
