About the EMB-312 T-27 Tucano Projected in 1978 under Joseph Kovacs direction by Embraer, the EMB-312 is a single turbo prop engine basic trainer powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada

Designated as T-27 (or AT-27 for light attack version) by FAB (Brazilian Air Force) 168 units were delivered.

The T-27 Tucano was a great success at the international market, offering a cockpit with instruments displayed in a very similar way to modern fighters with low operational cost.

It was made under license by Egypt and England in a different version named Shorts Tucano.

2 About the EMB-312 T-27 Tucano Projected in 1978 under Joseph Kovacs direction by Embraer, the EMB-312 is a single turbo prop engine basic trainer powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-25C turning a HARTZEL three blade prop, low wing with two MB ejection seats. The EMB-312 was christened Tucano an exotic brazilian bird by a cadet. Designated as T-27 (or AT-27 for light attack version) by FAB (Brazilian Air Force) 168 units were delivered. More than 800 units were sold to many countries as Argentina, France, Iraq, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela, Egypt and others. It was made under license by Egypt and England in a different version named Shorts Tucano. At FAB the Tucano is used by AFA (First Air Instruction Squadron at Air Force Academy), and was used by many other squadrons including Fighter Groups, Observation, Defense but the main highlights always shined at EDA Squadron, the Air Demonstration Squadron, eagle s nest of proud and high skilled pilots. A model airplane with tail weight tendency will not fly as it should! It can cause serious accidents and damage to people and properties around the flying area which Juniaer is hold harmless. Linkage, Horns and Hard Points: The model airplane has high wood structural reinforcements for control horns installation at the ailerons, flaps, elevators and rudder. These points are 40mm x 40mm (15.75 inches x inches), positioned at strategic places and must be followed right as the instructions below, under risk of loosing control causing damage and risks to people and properties around the flying area. If you wish to modify or adapt equipments that requires modifications on the original project never do that by your own, please get in touch to Juniaer customer service to verify the possibility of installation. Ailerons: 2 simple horns are needed, 25mm to 35mm (1 1/8 to 1 ¼ ) tall. Servo arms (20mm to 25mm) (1 from center to the end) must be positioned to the wing root side. Note that both sides of the wing has the same positioning. The horn hard point is centered with servo arm slot. Distance between center of control arm and control horn (in neutral position): 92mm (3.62 inches). Servos must be installed in hard wood blocks glued with epoxy at the servo tray cover. Servo arms (15mm to 20mm) (5/8 to 13/16 from center to the end). The horn hard points are centered with pushrods exits from the fuselage, and from the root side of the elevators (closer to the fuselage). Servos must be installed inside the fuselage at the servos tray provided, positioned in parallel and with servo arms to the same side. Acting is made by 2 fiberglass pushrods and 4-40 treaded rods.
