1 JAUNT SAFETY REPORT TO THE BOARD 1st QUARTER FY19 Vehicle Accidents: During the first quarter of FY19, JAUNT had four (4) preventable accidents and three (3) non-preventable accidents for a total of seven (7). For comparison, there were three (3) preventable accidents and three (3) non-preventable accidents for a total of six (6) during the fourth quarter of FY18. Upon review of each accident the driver is counseled and receives refresher training for any infraction noted.

Drivers have been strongly encouraged to follow JAUNT policies and procedures regarding assisting passengers on and off the bus. This has been noted and reviewed with each driver on the Driver Observation Report when supervisors conduct Driver Ride-Along observations and vehicle hard drive camera reviews. JAUNT takes great care in transporting and assisting its passengers with their safety always being paramount. If an incident occurs, we observe the bus hard drive and the driver receives retraining and if warranted disciplinary action is taken. Employee Injuries: Three (3) JAUNT employees sought medical attention for work related injuries for the first quarter of FY 2019, compared to six (6) in the 4Q FY18.
