6 MAGNILITE 24" MAGNILITE is the lightest magnesium wheel made for wheelchairs on the market. The MAGNILITE wheel is built with our endurable DW2 rim profile, which is also used for our TENSIO wheels. The magnesium rim weighs only 365 g compared to 476 g for the same rim in aluminium and combined with our Micro Hub,18 extra light spokes and a super light tyre you get a beautiful wheel with a weight just around 850 g for the complete wheel. MAGNICORE is made of magnesium which is about 30% lighter than aluminium yet the CNC machined MAGNICORE rims are as strong as the ALUCORE rims. Magnesium needs a protective coating to protect it from corrosion. You can therefore order your MAGNICORE wheels painted in the color of your choice. Weight 5" (rim only): 74 g. ALUCORE MBL s beautifully designed ALU- CORE wheels are CNC machined from high strength aluminum resulting in a strong and compact wheel. Our ALUCORE wheels come as standard in untreated aluminium.
