27 Chalmers University: Combustion Engine Laboratory For the experimental work on a 5 cylinder light duty diesel engine we use an open control platform based on hardware and software from National Instruments and Drivven. This control system is implemented in LabVIEW and uses a mix of a field programmable gate array (FPGA), a PowerPC processor, and a desktop computer to perform data acquisition and control tasks.
