Their unique, performance-packed These strong, lightweight blocks feature free-rolling high- Torlon roller bearings for a high strength-to weight ratio. Use them for sail controls that see lots of action: mainsheet, runner, halyard and spinnaker systems. AirBlocks are easy to clean and service. They have few parts and no loose balls or rollers to misplace. Unlike blocks that are riveted, fasteners allow quick disassembly with a single hex wrench. 2 Details Make the Difference LOW-FRICTION CAGED BEARINGS The center cage keeps Torlon roller bearings separated and parallel to reduce friction. Dirt and salt falls between rollers. Captive Delrin balls carry sides. STRONG, LIGHTWEIGHT SIDEPLATES and SHEAVES 6061-T6 aluminum sideplates are CNC sculpted to remove excess weight. Thin-profile, deep-groove aluminum sheaves have radiused edges to protect high-tech line. 1. Isolated Metals Dissimilar metals isolated to prevent corrosion: plastic isolators under all fastener heads and headposts. Three-Way Head Set screw in three-way head locks shackle in front or side positions, or lets block swivel to keep line from twisting. 2. Easy Maintenance AirBlocks are designed for easy maintenance. A minimal number of fasteners allow quick disassembly. Blocks have few parts, and there are no loose balls or rollers. Teardrop blocks are ideal as masthead leads and in other applications where limited articulation or direct attachment is desired. When attached to a compatible padeye, Teardrop blocks will not hit the deck when lines are slack, but allow enough movement to ensure fair leads when jumping halyards.
