6 FINEFINISH FineFinish - How it works Airless painting - Airless atomisation In contrast to spraying with compressed air, the Airless atomisation is created solely by material pressure without air. Combined with the TradeTips FineFinish nozzles high-class quality surfaces can be achieved. AirCoat painting - air-supported application In the AirCoat procedure (airless + air) the material is forced through the nozzle using a recipro-cating or diaphragm pump with a relatively low amount of pressure ( MPa). The amotising process is supported by compressed air ( MPa). This is made possible by the air cap that is centrally located directly on the nozzle bore which surrounds the spraying medium like a sheath. FineCoat painting - low pressure spraying FineCoat is a low-pressure spraying technique that works with high air volumes and low air pressure (up to 0.0 MPa). A turbine generates the atomising air which flows through an air hose and atomises the paint via an air cap. The atomising air is also used to pressurise the paint in the cup. This delivers the coating material through the standpipe to the nozzle and atomises the remaining air.
