7 Resident Highlight Lloyd Larson Lloyd was born on 11/19/1920. He had 7 children. He is very sociable and has many interesting stories. He served in the Merchant Marines and the Navy during WWll. Lloyd grew up on a farm. He left the farm to become a skilled machinist and a plant engineer for IBM in San Jose. Employee Highlight Sonia Garcia Sonia has worked for Carlton for 17 years. Sonia takes pride in caring for the resident. She has given the residents many cooking demonstrations. On her spare time she enjoys spending time with her son and daughter in law and her 3 beautiful granddaughters. One day she hope to travel to Rome Italy.

15 What is the Quarterly Creation Contest? Our Memory Care residents spend three months creating a unique interpretation of a famous piece of art. Each community then submits their creation and one is honored for its creativity and uniqueness. This quarter the painting that was chosen was The Runaway by Norman Rockwell (left). While examining the photo, the Davis residents specifically took notice to the cigarette the waiter is smoking. They thought that the police officer caught the boy with a cigarette and confiscated it. The residents then thought the police man and waiter were discouraging the boy from smoking in the future. Based on this interpretation, the programming team created an anti-smoking video campaign staring 17 residents. Below are a few unique stills from the film. 16 November 2018 The Carlton Times National Family Caregiver Month Provide November is not only a Love time Honor to give thanks and celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, it s also a time to recognize the challenges family caregivers face when caring for their loved ones while offering some much-needed support. Day in and day out more than 65 million family members fill a vital caregiver role in this country. Live 2 B Healthy works to alleviate some of the stress and worry placed on those caregivers by providing programs for their loved ones which promote physical activity and participation in a safe and supervised setting at home in their community. Live 2 B Healthy strives to alleviate many of the common issues surrounding aging by centering our focus on building strength and balance to improve overall health while reducing falls and the need for hospitalization. Live 2 B Healthy programs have been proven to increase balance, strength, and mobility while improving sleeping patterns, improving eating habits and providing social opportunities. Theme of the Month: Our programs are truly unique and our trainers customize each class based on the physical abilities of the participants so that everyone can be successful throughout the program.
