3 1. Presentation of the Equipment The Valhabilis equipment is made up of two complementary cases representing an electrical installation of an equipment room. It allows to introduce the accreditation of electrical hazards and to perform operations. 1.1 Overview This equipment comes in the form of two cases: The first case Electrical distribution includes a small electric board supplying standard plugs for measuring and connection work. The second case motor starter is supplied by the first case. As an example, the motor starter simulates a ventilation system, and the students can perform checking and maintenance operations of the electrical circuit in compliance with relevant standards. A kit (optional) containing a no-voltage multimeter, a padlocking device, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment insulating gloves, face guard), is used to perform operations in compliance with relevant standards. 3/17

5 Technical data of the main components Case Electrical distribution It contains a case with a cover that provides locations for accessories storage and electrical equipment installed on a white Lamica plate. This electrical equipment is fitted with a small electric board with a 16A main 30mA differential circuit breaker This main circuit breaker protects three outputs: two house plugs and one plug for the Motor Starter kit. The first 10A circuit breaker protects a house plug and the output fitted with a cable gland plate located below. The second 10A circuit breaker only protects the second house plug. At bottom left, there is the 2P + Earth stub for main supply that is fitted with a red light On/Off switch. A 2-position key selector named without phase allows to reverse the neutral and the phase on the supply. A left spring return key selector named Differential defect allows when it is in right position to proceed to a differential test of the main circuit breaker. 6 The motor starter case contains the following equipment: A lockable separator switch A kit of load bars fitted with a protection plate. A protection thermal magnetic circuit breaker. A contactor with auxiliary contacts additive. Two loops to perform current measurements. The power cable single-line diagram that represents the motor starter. A 1A circuit breaker for the protection of the control circuit. A fuse holder that only protects the green indicator of the push button. This fuse holder is fitted with a 8,5x23 2Agf fuse, the nine others are provided with the equipment in their original package. Several control indicator lights. A green illuminated push button named On. One key mushroom emergency stop button. An electrical motor simulating a fan. 7 1.3 Main functions The equipment is made up of two cases designed for the simulation of an electrical installation. They allow to familiarise non-electro-technical high school students with the accreditation of electrical hazards. The introduction to the accreditation allows to perform B0V and B1V operations for Energy and Fluid in Industrial Maintenance or Electronic fields. A non electrical operation in vicinity zone. A connection operation in the vicinity of live parts. A setting and measuring operation. A replacing operation. An operation following a failure on a control or power circuit. A commissioning of the equipment. 7/17

8 2. Teaching 2.1 Presentation of teaching The aim of this equipment is to identify and to increase the users awareness of electrical hazards and to train in operations of levels B0V and B1V. The subjects that can be handled are: A non electrical operation in vicinity zone. A connection operation in the vicinity of live parts. A setting and measuring operation. A replacing operation. An operation following a failure on a control or power circuit. A commissioning of the equipment. It is intended for the following channels: PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY SCHOOL LOWER HIGH SCHOOL SECTION HIGH SCHOOL Automation systems and IT for industrial systems Electrical engineering Mechanical engineering The hands-on exercises that can be carried out using the Valhabilis teaching equipment consist of a teacher's document with answers and a trainee document. Ex2: Level B0V-T2 Objective: Perform non-electrical operations inside a live electrical cabinet. Elements supplied with the equipment 3.1 Equipment supplied The Valhabilis assembly, reference MD1AA630 is composed with: An Electrical distribution case, A Motor starter case, A mains supply cable 2P + Earth, Two protections of bars kit (one is installed on the case), A box with nine 2A Gf fuses (one is installed on the fuse holder), Four contact blocks additive 2 F, A kit of insulation device for MG circuit breaker, A cable with a receptacle 2P + Earth.
