3 By Connecting to the signals Remove the plastic engine cover; Locate the RPM sensor (see Pict.1) and connect the Plug-Play (RPM sensor) of Rapid wiring. Pict1 Locate the connector of Boost Pressure Sensor ( see Pict.2 ) and connect the plug-play (Boost Pressure Sensor1) of the Rapid wiring; Pict.2 Locate the second connector of Boost Pressure Sensor ( see Pict.3 ) and connect the plug-play (Boost Pressure Sensor2) of the Rapid wiring; ATTENTION: The connectors named USB and CAN should not be connected, are only predispositions. 4 Connection of the power supply Collegare il cavo rosso a +12 volts Connect the Rapid module to the wiring. Final Operations Connect the switch (C08RWC01, if bought) to the two-way connector of the wiring. NOTE : Rapid is always on if nothing is connected to the two way connector Place the Rapid module and the kit components far from any excessive heat sources. Description of the digital calibration parameters of the RAPID TPM module The RAPID TPM module can be checked by some digital parameters that can be modified by means of the device called CALIBRATION CONSOLE (F08IP-002 code, supplied as an option). The RAPID TPM module parameters that can be modified are: SET: is the parameter that regulates the performance increase. Growing this parameter, the performance of the vehicle increases; lowering the parameter the performance decreases. If the parameter is set at 000, the vehicle s performance is like the original one. TH1: it regulates the threshold of the RAPID intervention, taking as reference the engine rpm. That is, the RAPID doesn t intervene until the engine rpm doesn t exceed the threshold value set by TH1. In order to get the reference engine rpm, it s necessary to multiply the threshold value set X100. Example: TH1=018 intervention threshold at 1800 engine rpm. TH2: it regulates the threshold of the RAPID intervention, taking as reference the engine rpm. That is, when the engine rpm exceeds the threshold value set by TH2, the Rapid decreases the performance in order to not cause overpressure. Example: TH2 = 042 threshold decrease at 4200 engine rpm. TH3: it adjusts the turn-off threshold of the Rapid add-on module. That is, when the engine rpm exceeds the threshold value set by TH3, the Rapid defuses canceling the performance amount (on the average, it takes about 300 engine rpm to cancel at all the benefits provided by the Rapid). Example: TH3 = 068 turn-off threshold at 6800 engine rpm. The variation of the standard pre-set parameters in the RAPID module by the manufacturer must be agreed with DIMSPORT technical assistance. Every new calibration must be tested on the vehicle while it is running Note If you had bought C08RWC01, It is possible to commute the RAPID module from on to off in any conditions of vehicle use, even though we recommend activating and deactivating the RAPID module when the vehicle is not working or with a low load. If the switch is not connected to the special 2-way connector of the RAPID module wiring, the additional module remains constantly activated. 5 Warning CAUTION: An excessive increase in performances could damage the engine or lead to the activation of the vehicle electronic protections. Please make sure that the vehicle works properly, namely the engine, before installing the Rapid module: a performance increase could highlight some potential defects of functioning. We do not recommend assembling the Rapid module if the engine or the injection system have already been modified. NB: an excessive increase in performances could lead to damage the engine or to activate the electronic control unit protections. Do not turn on the controls board if all the connectors are not connected. If you do not follow this instruction there would not be any damages, but the control unit would memorize an error. The Rapid module is designed for 12 to 30 Volt supply voltages, therefore make sure this limit is not exceeded by checking, before the installation, that the battery, the regulating circuit and the alternator work properly. Fix the RAPID module and its parts far from any excessive heat sources.
