1 2 nstallation otes ir andler PO is usually installed on the supply side duct just above the air system but can also be installed on the return side if necessary. The PO unit should be iented so that the air flows past the UV ight first then into the atrix lement. f a second optional UV lamp is used (PO ual) select a location inside the air system that will allow it to shine on the greatest surface area the area with the most evident microbial growth. To install the secondary UV light use the Optional 2nd Remote UV ight nstallation nstructions provided with PO ual. Trace cut-line onto duct using template. n-uct ir Purif ier J K ut hole in duct using a cutting tool appropriate f the duct material. WR *ote: only one lamp and one power supply are included with PO. To attach the Power Unit to metal ducts use 4 Self-tapping Screws. soft duct materials use uct Rivets and duct tape scrim tape and mastic. nsert UV amp 3. ount UV amp using (2) Quick uts and attach lamp connect (be sure to align the four connect pins) 4. TUV-100 lamps should be replaced every year. TUV-200 should be replaced every 2 years. ote: UV lamps will continue to emit visible light but lose germicidal effectiveness over time. You can upgrade to a 2 year lamp with your existing PO Power Unit. TUV-200 (2 Year) UTO! The UV lamp warranty does not cover cracked broken lamps due to mishandling improper application. anufacturer s obligation under this warranty is being limited to repairing replacing any part found to its satisfaction to be so defective. This warranty does not cover parts damaged resulting from misuse, abuse, any other than its intended use, accident, neglect, from improper operation, maintenance, installation, modification adjustments. This warranty does not cover parts equipment used with the resh-ire PO that are not made by anufacturer, since these items are covered by warranties of the respective manufacturer. Use a utility knife to cut a slit in the insulation on the interi surface. 3. Place the magnetic Z bracket directly on the metal surface remove the magnet and hardmount the bracket using the self-tapping screws provided. Use foil tape to close the cut in the insulation. 4. Use the optional UV shield (part #TUV-S-P) cover the materials with reflective tape. ounting Options Snap the Z bracket apart by bending. rill a 1 hole in the ""-plate duct then attach the smaller piece of the bracket using the self-tapping screws. 3. nsert the UV lamp into the hole then use the plastic quick-nuts to attach the UV lamp to the Z bracket as shown. 3.

4 5 Remote UV ight onfiguration PORTT! Only the PO ual model has the electrical capacity and attached cable f the optional Remote UV ight. Simply connect the lamp lead to the power cable on the left side of the PO Power Unit. To add a second UV light to an existing PO system that is not a ual model install a separate resh-ire UV U Series 1 lue-tube UV system. n-uct ir Purif ier 7 Sight lass nstallation ind a suitable location on the outside of the duct-wk near the UV amp installation and apply the resh-ire UV warning/lamp replacement sticker. rill a ½ hole through the ange circle on the sticker. Press the UV safety viewpt into hole. 3. Turn on the power and use the sight glass to confirm that the UV amp is operating. 6 Remote UV amp onnection When all the other components are properly installed connect the UV amp cable to the PO Power supply cable. ake sure the flanges are aligned and then push the connects firmly together. tight connection ensures a proper water-resistant seal. lign langes 8 amp Replacement The germicidal UV lamp in the resh-ire Remote UV ight needs to be replaced periodically. TUV-100 and TUV-100-OS (od control) lamps should be replaced every year. TUV-200 and TUV-200-OS should be replaced every 2 years. ote: UV lamps will continue to emit visible light but lose germicidal effectiveness over time.
