1 Most small body mono-tube shocks have too much rod pressure which removes driver feel and causes the race car to feel like it is on top of the race track instead of gripping the track. The 3200 series shock utilizes a base valve installed between the floating piston and the valving piston to isolate the pressure, allowing for substantial reduction in rod pressure. Maximum traction is obtained because pressure build up is dramatically reduced with the use of the low rod pressure. The base valve design requires so little gas pressure that certain valvings have only 3 lbs. of rod pressure. This low rod pressure creates more driver feel which is lost in many high pressure shocks. The 3200 series shock will accept gas pressure from 10 lbs. to 100 lbs. which provides for fine tuning the chassis balance with gas pressure is a split valve shock used on the front to promote weight transfer and are split valve shocks for rear applications. Softer compression speeds up weight transfer and heavy rebound keeps rear weight in the car. The double adjustable, coilover damper is suitable for a variety of applications. The rebound adjuster features 25 sweeps of bleed adjustment in the shaft. The compression adjuster features 20 clicks of linear-stepped adjustment. This is accomplished by a parabolic needle valve that adjusts a fluid bypass past a standard shim stack. Keep light pressure on the collapsed shaft and turn counter-clockwise until you feel tang drop into slot. As you rotate clockwise there will be 3 sets of 3 different adjustments (9 positions). Continue to rotate until the mark on the shaft aligns with the desired dampening letter, marked on the shock body. If you don t know what postion the shock is in you should be able to tell by cycling the shock a couple of times and notice the difference in dampening force.
