2 SV24NC GENERAL SV24NC voltage metal enclosed switchgears for indoor use are constructed by placing standardized units side by side in a coordinated way. Insulation of all live parts is guaranteed in air. Construction and testing are carried out entirely in the factory. SV24NC switchgears are preset for the following apparatus: ABB VD4/HD4 type circuit-breakers in SF6 gas. Gsec type switch-disconnectors and isolators in SF6 gas FIELDS OF APPLICATION SV24NC switchgears are used in medium voltage secondary power distribution. In particular, they can be used for transformer substations and for control and protection of feeders and power transformers. NORMAL SERVICE CONDITIONS The rated service characteristics are guaranteed under the following limit conditions: Minimum ambient temperature -5 C Maximum ambient temperature +50 C Maximum relative humidity98% N.B. 4 10/20 kv MEDIUM VOLTAGE SWITCHBOARDS Main characteristics SV24NC switchgears are characterized by: complete insulation in air of all the live parts of the switchboard possibility of being placed against the wall segregation between the busbar and feeder compartments possibility of constructing many different solutions and simple extension of existing switchboards. easily accessible apparatus controls personnel safety guaranteed by: segregation of the compartmentswithip2x degree of protection. metal segregation and earthing guaranteed by the switch-disconnector/ isolator stainless steel housing Insulating parts with large exhaust escape routes to guarantee insulation even in rooms with a high degree of pollution earthling of both the structure and components. On request, the switchboard can be fitted with a relay microprocessor unit. This unit combines all the protection, control, measuring, etc. functions usually entrusted to several devices in a single piece of apparatus. The relay unit also makes it possible to dialogue with the installation control and automation systems, allowing plant data acquisition and processing. Surface treatment The units are made of pre-galvanized sheet. The doors and front panels are painted grey RAL The surface appearance is semi gloss. The standard version switchboards have their sides made of pre-galvanized sheet (on request, RAL 7035 painted versions are available). Degrees of protection IP2X inside the switchboard IP3X on the external housing. Quality Assurance system Complies with ISO 9001:2008 Standards, certified by Lloyd Register Quality Assurance Italy.

Earthingswitch Compartments The structure of each unit is entirely constructed using pre-galvanizedmetalsheets. Each unit consists of several compartments withmetalsegregations between them. Each unit is presetwithspecial holes for xing to the oor and is provided with bottom closure tted with special openings for medium voltage and auxiliary circuit cable passage. All the units ttedwitha door have an interlockwhichonly allows door opening under safe conditions. The busbarcompartment is accessed from the roof or from the front by dismantling the special metal cover. There is a special metal wiring duct in each unit to segregate the low voltage circuits from the medium voltage circuits. Busbarcompartment(A) This contains themainbusbarsystem. The busbars,madeof electrolytic copper, are xed to the terminals of the insulation isolator or of the switch-disconnector. Insulation is guaranteed in air. Feedercompartment(B) This is normally segregated fromthebusbarcompartment bymeansof an isolator or a switch-disconnector. It contains the apparatus shown in the gure below. Auxiliarycircuits A box containing all the lowvoltageapparatus normally used can be provided in front of the busbarcompartment. In particular: -terminal boxes,wiringducts and cables to connect the auxiliary circuits of the unit; -auxiliary accessories of the circuit-breaker and unit (measuring instruments, protection relays, control and signalingdevices, fuses, auxiliarycircuit protection circuit-breakers, etc.) Cable passage for inter-panel connections is made by means of special holes provided in the walls of the box itself. Installation room The installation room must be prepared according to the switch-board dimensions and version. Observance of the distances indicated guarantees a regular operation of the apparatus.

6 LOW VOLTAGE SWITCHBOARDS GENERAL The low-voltage distribution elds, which are determined according to their basic type OH-D, OH-R, C, U, SK, consists of a framework structure made of adequately dimensioned metal enclosed C-sections. Their front view and size dimensions being standardized and suited on the request and needs of the customer. Field description is given below and de ned according to their rated current, circuit breaker, switch and the number of outgoing feeders. Main characteristics of all elds are the following: The busbarsare placed in the busbarcompartment on supporting insulators in the upper side of the elds. All metal parts which are normally free of voltage are respectively galvanicallyconnected through toothed washers and are connected to the central earthingstrip passing through the elds. The surface protection is carried out by applying standard paint RAL 7035 in an up-to-date manner, thus ensuring a high degree of anti corrosion protection. The degree of protection depending both on the requirements and the conditions prevailing at the location where these elds are to be installed, may be up to IP 33. They are made of modular assembly devices accessible from the door front and are intended for various industrial facilities and may, on request, have a protection degree of up to IP66. Their main characteristics are shown in the table below. REACTIVE POWER COMPENSATING FIELD C-12 Reactive Power Compensating Fields are intended for use in industrial distribution boards. They consist of 12 separate steps of condenser batteries controlled by a RVC-12 microprocessor regulator. Variety of rated power options. They have a rated voltage of up to 400 V, and a frequency of 50 Hz. The equipment for the reactive power compensating cubicles is from production range.

8 LOW VOLTAGE DISTRIBUTION SWITCHBOARDS Low Voltage Distribution Board for Pole-mounted Transformer Station NRO-S The low voltage distribution board is intended for pole-type transformer station for outdoor use with four outgoing feeders and fuse bases of up to 630A. It is made of aluminum with thickness of 2.0mm and has a protection degree of IP33. It is used for pole-type transformer stations, the poles being made either of steel lattice structure or concrete. The low voltage cable distribution board NKRO NKRO is intended for outdoor installation and has a number of outgoing feeders appropriate to the requirements, for which selection is made according to the values shown in this table. They have been anticipated with fuse bases of 400A. These boards are made of treated sheet steel with a surface protection of RAL 7035 and a protection degree of IP33.Distribution boards made of plastic mass (polyester) are also available on request. Distribution boards for household use typekpo-1 and KPO-2 Distribution boards for household use are intended for household distribution and are made on request. There is an option of installing a one outgoing feeder board (KPO-1) or a two outgoing feeder board (KPO-2). 9 PREFABRICATED CONCRETE PrefabricatedConcrete TransformerStations,BTS-6 Prefabricated concrete transformer stations BTS-6 are designed as freestanding units placed on suitable construction lot. Transformer station location and arrangement is carried out according to the prescribed urban planning conditions. Prefabricated concrete transformer stations are typically made for indoor service. Erection of the building itself is fast, and the civil engineering construction portion is completed within a day. The required pre-conditions are the following: adequate carrying capacity of the ground and provided access for terrain vehicles. All elements used are mutually galvanicallyconnected. The locksmith parts are made of treated aluminum. There is a possibility of installing electrical equipment produced by all leading manufacturers. All connections are carried outwithcables. Cooling is enabled by natural air circulation.

Sheet steel transformer stations are made of sheet steel enclosed section frame structure. They are manufactured in c o m p l i a n c e w i t h t h e s a m e requirements and regulations prevailing for the prefabricated concrete transformer stations. The housing elements are made of sheet steel of 4mm and are corrosion protected by electrostatically applied powderpaintral7035. The transformer station is assembled on a previously prepared concrete foundation. The concrete foundation is made in compliance with a separate civil engineering design and in accordance with the ground where the foundationis to be made.
