Te c h n i c a l I n f o r m a t i o n TUBE STOP MAKING A CONNECTION Cut the tubing to length using the Sea Tech tubing cutter or similar. Inspect the outside diameter of the tubing. It must be free of damage, smooth, and clean. Measure the insertion depth on the tubing end. Sea Tech connectors have a insertion depth line molded onto the outside of the connector bodies. Make certain to push the tubing com plete ly into the connector until it comes into contact with the internal tubing stop. To disconnect ensure the system is depressurized before removing con nec tors. Push the collet in squarely against the face of the fi tting. With the collet held in this position, the tubing can be removed. The connectors can then be re-used. * For 35 and 45 series products to be compliant with IAPMO ASSE : If PEX tubing is used, then a tube support liner must be used also. The tube support liner acts as an internal support for the end of the tube. Sea Tech fi ttings are designed for low pressure fl uids. For other ap pli ca tions please refer to our Customer Service Department. Tubing should be supported at a minimum of 36" to prevent excessive load to the con nec tors. Do not install tubing supports closer than 3 inches from the connector ends. We strongly recommend that new installations be thoroughly tested prior to use. Do not use with explosive gases, petroleum products or other fuels. CAUTION! The polysulfone and polypropylene material in this SEA TECH product can be compromised by exposure to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and caustic chemicals. Therefore, DO NOT expose this product to any such chemical or foreign substance, which would include exposure to the following products: Pipe dopes (liquid thread sealants), leak check compounds, bug sprays, lubricants, cleaners, paints, bleaches, acids, solder fl uxes, plastic piping primers and cements, oxidizing agents, alkaline solutions, thinners, fuels, oil based caulk, hydrocarbons, spray foam or foaming agents ( i.e. insulation). Tefl on tape is acceptable and can be used for threaded connections. Failure to follow these instructions will void the warranty and possibly result in leaks and water damage. Because Sea Tech connectors rotate, the direction of the tubing can be oriented by a simple twist, reducing the amount of tubing required to plumb a water system. Highest Flow! Sea Tech tubing is formulated and manufactured in (1/2" O.D.), (5/8" O.D.), (7/8" O.D.), and (9/8" O.D.) sizes. 8 24 Series Size Sea Tech 24 Series quick connect products are produced from FDA approved materials, certifi ed and approved to NSF-61 standards and are suitable for contact with drinking water. 24 Series products are designed and manufactured in a bright white thermal plastic and are applicable for many applications including Water Plumbing, Car Wash, Water Filtration and Aquariums. 24 Series fi ttings are produced in standard imperial inch sizes and interconnect with all Sea Tech 35 Series connections. Sea Tech 24 Series fi ttings directly connect to a variety of plastic, copper and CPVC piping. Simply cut the piping and snap a Sea Tech quick-connect fi tting into place for a leak free connection. The majority of 35 Series products are approved and certifi ed to NSF-61, NSF-14, CSA B137.5, ASTM F877, and IAPMO ASSE and to the Uniform Plumbing Code (U.P. Code). 35 Series products are available in standard imperial inch sizes and interconnect with all Sea Tech 24 Series fi ttings. The Sea Tech quick connect design allows for quick and easy connections without installation tools.
