5 Patented Low gear The reverse gear is not spinning when the transmission is in Low Gear. Ratio 1.82:1 Direct Drive The counter shaft, low gear, reverse gear, and reverse idler are not spinning when the transmission is in Direct Drive. Ratio 1:1 Benefit: Quicker acceleration and deceleration. 9 A Brinn transmission can be rebuilt in half the time it takes to rebuild the competition s transmission. This is possible because: No special tools are required to rebuild a Brinn transmission. The shifter assembly is built into the removable side cover. You don t have to waste time with disassembling the shifter assembly if you only need to service the clutch pack. The front bearing is not pressed into the case. The input shaft can be removed by hand; no press required. The tail housing bushing does not require reaming after being replaced. The clutch piston is external and easily accessible. It can be serviced without disassembling the entire transmission. Brinn transmissions are strong and durable. There are no welded parts in a Brinn. All parts are billet or cast. 20-year old transmissions are still being used today. Brinn transmissions are designed to have low inertia which improves acceleration and deceleration. The reverse idler gear is not in constant mesh which prevents premature wear, reduces rotating weight, and eliminates seizing problems. The Brinn is a far superior transmission to the competitors. Ron Alexander, Ron s Transmission Low gear Unlike the competition, the low gear set is in constant mesh. Only the dog ring is used to make the shift. Not having to bring the low gear set in and out of mesh helps the racer make quick, smooth shifts. Ratio 1.88:1 ground clearance 6.12 Direct Drive Unlike the competition, the reverse idler (shown in blue) is not meshed with any gears and is not spinning when the transmission is in Direct Drive. Also, since the counter shaft is fully supported by needle roller bearings, only the input mesh gear is spinning when the transmission is in Direct Drive. Do not return any product(s) until you have received a RMA number. Brinn Incorporated reserves the right to refuse shipments that do not have a valid RMA number. All products must be sent in secure packaging to avoid any shipping damage. Please call (989) to obtain an RMA number. terms and conditions Billing Terms Brinn Inc.'s standard terms are COD unless a warehouse distributor has been previously approved for open account. Open account status will require an appropriate credit application approved and on file at Brinn Inc. Open account terms are Net 30. Credit memos will be deducted from the gross amount due. No cash refunds will be given against open credit balances. Any credit balances must be offset by future purchases. All costs, charges, and other fees related to export shipments and/or letters of credit shall be paid by the customer. Freight Terms The FOB shipping point for Brinn Inc. is Bay City, Michigan. Orders of 25 transmissions or more to one location will qualify for prepaid freight. Prepaid freight orders will be made on a common carrier of our choosing. Back orders will be shipped with the next qualifying order unless special arrangements are made by the customer. Brinn Inc. will make UPS, Airfreight, or Parcel Post drop shipments for its open account warehouse distributors subject to the following condition: The distributor will be responsible for all charges incurred by a refused shipment.
