3 PROVIDING, INSTALLING, TESTING & COMMISSIONING OF 2 X 625 KVA, 415 VOLTS SILENT DIESEL GENERATING SETS AT SARDAR VALLABHBHAI NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, SURAT. S.NO. DESCRIPTION QTY. UNIT RATE SUBHEAD - I - EQUIPMENTS 1 Providing, installing, testing and commissioning of silent type Diesel Generating set of capacity 625 KVA (500 KW) at 1500 RPM, 0.8 lagging power factor at 415 Volts suitable for 50 Hz, 3 phase system and consisting of the following: A) DIESEL ENGINE Diesel engine 4 stroke of suitable BHP at 1500 RPM suitable for above output of alternator at site conditions and conforming to BS-5514, BS-649, IS-10000, capable of taking 10% overloading for one hour in any 12 hours duration. The engine will be fitted with the following standard accessories: a) Dynamically balanced flywheel b) Flexible coupling c) Exhaust gas turbo charged with after cooler d) Radiator cooling e) Corrosion resister f) Automatic safety control in case of low lubrication oil pressure g) Automatic safety control in case of high water temperature h) Automatic over speed trip protection i) Lubrication oil pump j) Lubrication oil filter k) Lubrication oil cooler l) Bye-pass filter m) Fuel pump n) Fuel filter o) Hoses for fuel tank p) Air intake manifold q) Air cleaner dry type r) Governor EFC type s) Self starter t) Alternator for battery charging u) Residential silencer v) Flexible pipe for silencer

4 B) ENGINE MOUNTED INSTRUMENT PANEL FITTED WITH a) Starting switch with key b) Water temperature gauge c) Lubrication oil pressure d) Lubrication oil temperature gauge e) Battery charging f) Tachometer with hour meter C) ALTERNATOR Synchronous alternator rated at 625 KVA (500 KW) at 1500 RPM, 3 phase 50 Hz AC supply with 0.8 lagging power factor at site condition. The alternator shall be having SPDP enclosure, brushless continous duty, self-excited and self-regulated conforming to IS:4722/BS:2613 suitable for tropical conditions and with Class-F/H insulation. The alternator shall be fitted with thermisters (controlled by controller in AMF panel) for winding and bearing temperature and space heaters complete in all respects. The alternator shall be fitted with suitable arrangement for connecting 1000 Amp 4 strip busducting.on outgoing. D) BASE FRAME AND FOUNDATION Both the engine and alternator shall be mounted on suitable base frame made of MS channel with necessary reinforcement which shall be installed on suitable foundation and vibration isolation arrangement as per recommendations of manufacturer. E) FUEL TANK Daily service fuel tank of 990 ltrs. Capacity fabricated out of 5 mm thick MS sheet complete with all standard accessories and fuel piping between fuel tank and diesel engine with MS class 'C' pipes of suitable dia. Complete with valves, level indications & accessories as required as per specifications. F) EXHAUST SYSTEM

5 Dry exhaust manifold with residential type silencer and flange with exhaust extender and flexible bellows etc. as reqd. complete with suitable arrangement for holding the exhaust piping system upto the level of buildings by making suitable frame work independently. G) STARTING SYSTEM 24 V DC starting system comprising of starter motors, voltage regulator and arrangement for initial exciting complete with suitable nos. of batteries (25 plates, 180 Amp hour capacity lead acid type) as reqd. as per specifications. H) Accoustic enclosure with arrangement for fresh air intake for cooling of the engine & alternator, extraction, discharging hot air into the atmosphere as per specifications. DG Set complete as above 2 Set SUBHEAD II 1 DG SYNCHRONISING PANEL Fabricating, installing, testing & commissioning of DG SYNCHRONISING PANEL, suitable for 2X 625 KVA DG set complete with relays, timers, set of CT's for metering & protection and energy analyser to indicate currents, phase and line voltages, frequency, power factor, KWH, KVARH & provision for overload, short circuit, restricted earth fault, under frequency, protection contactors, IDMT relays (2 O/C + 1 E/F) for each breaker control cabling from AMF panel to diesel engine and also to ACB's on L.T. distribution panel and inter-locking including following: INCOMING a)1000 Amp 415 V FP ACB, Microprocessor based release (EDO Type) with short circuit, earth fault & over-current relay - 2 Nos. b) 2 Nos. neutral contactor of suitable rating. c) Auto / Manual / Test / Off selector switch d) 2 sets IDMT relay (2 O/C + 1 E/F) e) 2 Nos. over voltage relay

7 Design, manufacturing, testing at works,supply,installation,testing and commissioning of PLC based Auto Synchronising, Auto Load Transfer, Auto Load Sharing, Auto Load Balancing Panel for 2 Nos. 625 KVA D.G. Sets.complete as required and as per specifications and as per Schematic drawings and to acheive the following functions.( Allen Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi make with one no. phase angle transducer). Panel shall be suitable for manual mode of operation in the event of failure of PLC system. In addition to required hardware and software following components shall also be provided. Whenever grid supply goes off, all DG sets shall start automatically as per AMF logic in specifications. Based on the load requirement only required no. of DG sets shall operate. Whenever grid supply comes back, DG sets shall stop automatically as per AMF logic in specifications. Automatic functioning of Auxiliary panel of DG set pumps,cooling Tower fans,ventilation fans,motorised valves (Fresh air fans and exhaust air fans) To achieve DG voltage to reach desired level and automatic stopping of pumps when DG sets in shut down position. Providing interlocking (electrically) all the incoming ACB's of the mains transformer, DG incomer, Bus couplers etc. as per schematic drawing no.. Monitoring DG set safeties mechanical as well as electrical. 1 No. Analog Double voltmeter 0-500V, (144 sq. mm) 1 No. Double frequency meter (415V/110V) (144 sq. mm) reed type. 1 No. Synchroscope, 110V (144 sq. mm), Analog. 2 Nos 3 line display multifunction meter with RS 485 communication port with PLC for synchronising parameters of Allen Bradley / Enercon / L&T / Siemens make (144 sq. mm) 2 nos 110V AC dark lamps. Required under voltage monitors. 1 No. Synchronising switch. 1 No. Set selector switch. 1 No. Manual/Auto selector switch.

8 Push buttons for Test, Accept, Reset, Fault Reset, Engine start, Engine stop, ACB close, ACB Trip Emergency stop. 4Nos. Joysticks for Voltage raise/lower and speed raise/lower. 2 Nos Manual/Auto AMF toggle switch. Shut down due to low lube oil pressure/high water temp/over speed/low fuel level - set of 4 indication lamps. Number of times DG has operated counter Required Nos 24V DC semaphore, 38 mm. PLC Hardware as required & as per specifications. Auxiliary relays as required & as per specifications. 1 No. check synchronising relay, 110V AC 50 Hz. 230V AC/24V DC, 10A, stabilised power supply with voltage trimmer, required rating UPS with maintenance free battery. Annunciators as required & as per specifications. One no. Battery charger set consisting of Transformer/rectifier, DC ammeter, DC voltmeter, Charging rate selector switch,off/trickle /boost. DG control & sensing relay for A.M.F. feature incorporating Engine start/stop including three attempt facility and on failure to start Engine lock out. DG panel described as above & complete as required. 1 NO 2 Supplying of XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed 1.1 KV grade aluminium/copper conductor armoured power cable as per IS : 7098 of following sizes: a) 1 x 630 sq.mm. 700 Mtr. 3 Supplying and making end termination of XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed 1.1 KV grade Copper control cable as per of following sizes: a) 4 core 1.5 sq.mm. 100 Mtr. b) 6 core 1.5 sq.mm. 100 Mtr. c) 10 core 1.5 sq.mm. 100 Mtr.

9 4 Laying of one number PVC insulated and PVC sheathed / XLPE power cable of 1.1 KV grade of size exceeding 120 sq. mm but not exceeding 630 sq. mm direct in ground including excavation, sand cushioning, protective covering and refilling the trench etc as required. 550 Mtr. 5 Laying and fixing of one number PVC insulated and PVC sheathed / XLPE aluminium conductor cable of 1.1 KV grade of size exceeding 120 sq. mm but not exceeding 630 sq. mm on surface as required. 150 Mtr. 6 Laying of one number PVC insulated and PVC sheathed / XLPE control cable of 1.1 KV grade of size not exceeding 25 sq. mm direct in ground including excavation, sand cushioning, protective covering and refilling the trench etc as required. 300 Mtr. 7 Supplying and making end termination with brass compression gland and aluminium/copper lugs for following size of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed / XLPE aluminium conductor cable of 1.1 KV grade as required. a) 1 x 630 sq.mm. 14 Set TOTAL OF SUBHEAD - II

10 SUBHEAD - III - EARTHING AND SAFETY EQUIPMENTS 1 Earthing with copper earth plate 600mm x 600mm x 6mm thick including accessories and providing masonary enclosure with cover plate having locking arrangement and watering pipe (but without salt and charcoal / coke) etc. complete as reqd. 4 Set 2 Earthing with GI earth plate 600mm x 600mm x 6mm thick including accessories and providing masonary enclosure with cover plate having locking arrangement and watering pipe (but without salt and charcoal / coke) etc. complete as reqd. 2 Set 3 Extra for using charcoal and salt for G.I. or copper plate earth electrode as required. 6 Set 4 Providing and fixing 50mm x 5mm copper strip in 80 mm dia. 11 c) Shock treatment charts fully framed 1 Nos. d) Standard first aid box with standard medicine as prescribed by St. John ambulance bridge or Indian red cross society. 1 Set e) Providing & fixing Medium Voltage Danger Notice Plate 200 mm x 150 mm made of M.S. Steel at least 2mm thick & vitreous enamelled white on both sides & with inscription in single red colour on front side as required. 2 Nos. f) Rubber mat 1 mtr.
