The mounting screws must not be tightened too hard - the maximum allowed fastening torque is 3.5 Nm. The rubber washer at the locking bolt must be checked in regular intervals. In case of abrasion or if a rubber washer got brittle it must be exchanged by a new one. The rubber washer is available with the GAT Lock Bolt Set 5010 (Part No ). The fastening of the locking bolt with the door and distance sheet metal at the locker door must at least sustain 250 kg drag force. If a break-open attempt was made at a locker, the entire has to be exchanged by a new one. Also the door and distance sheet metal must be exchanged. It is always necessary to make a Test Installation of a and to check the following points: - If the door is closed, the locking bolt must go exactly into the bolt guide hole of the. - If the door is pressed shut, the locking bolt must touch the rear wall of the bolt guide hole (see drawing Detail A ). In that situation the gap between the locker door and the locker must be as small as possible (approx. 1 mm). This test has to be made with a complete locker, which means all additional parts of the locker like buffer rubbers etc. must be installed at the locker. - The must be positioned on the locker wall according to this test (see note * on page 1). The positions of these drillings can be marked on the locker door in an easy way by using the Punch Marking Gages (available as accessories). It must be distinguished between left and right Punch Marking Gage. The rubber band must be penned in between punch marking bar and base. The ends will be folded in order to increase the hold of the rubber band. The punch marking gages are clamped unto the, which has to be mounted in the locker, using the rubber band. The arrow end of the punch marking bar always has to point upwards. Next the locker door has to be banged in order to mark the center positions of the drillings on the locker door. Note: The punch marking gages for the GAT Lock 5000 B and the are different. To destinguish between them the punch marking gage for the has a recess milled into the back of the base. Only if the cable is to short for that, e.g. if an old is exchanged, it may be connected directly (variant 2).
