WARNING To prevent personal injury and equipment damage, keep the Liftgate from being operated while installing steps on extension plate. 2. Disconnect power from pump by removing nut from negative (-) battery terminal and disconnect negative (-) battery cable (FIG. 6-2). Reinstall nut on negative (-) battery terminal. Tighten bolts only in the der shown in illustration. NOTE: If 102 extension kit is to be installed f 102 wide vehicle, install the extension kit befe installing the steps. Refer to Instruction Sheet M f installing the extensions. 3. Line up the step (Kit item) on side of the extension plate. Bolt step to extension plate (FIG. 7-1). Tighten bolts 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the numbered der shown in FIG Then, tque each bolt and lock nut to 105 lb-ft. in the same der. REAR SILL I-BEAM (VEHICLE BODY) 1 SPACER (SEE NOTE) MOUNTING CHANNEL 1-1/4 LG FRAME BOLT LH SUPPORT 1-1/4 OR 2-1/4 LG FRAME BOLT (2 PLACES, SEE NOTE) SLOTTED HOLE 5. Butt the fl at part of the mounting channel against bottom of vehicle rear sill and I-beams. Then, butt the suppt marked L against back of the step (FIG. 8-1). BOLTING SUPPORT TO MOUNTING CHANNEL & STEP ( & SUPPORT SHOWN) FIG. 8-1 NOTE: If holes in the suppt and slotted holes in the step cannot be lined up, use 1 spacer and 2-1/4 long frame bolts (Kit items) as illustrated. 6. Ensure holes in the suppt are lined up with the slotted holes on the step (FIG. 8-1). Then, bolt the suppt to step (FIG. 8-1). Tque the 4 lock nuts (FIG. 8-1) to 105 lb-ft fce. MAXON Lift Cp. 2014

Weld the fl at part of the mounting channel to vehicle body as shown in FIG I-BEAM (VEHICLE BODY) 3/16 WELD TO AS MUCH I-BEAM FLANGE & REAR SILL AS POSSIBLE REAR SILL REAR SILL WELDING FLAT OF MOUNTING CHANNEL TO VEHICLE BODY ( SHOWN) FIG Repeat instructions 3 through 7 f RH step. Use the suppt (Kit item) marked R. BATTERY CABLE BATTERY TERMINAL 9. Reconnect power as follows. Remove nut from negative (-) battery terminal. Use the suppt (Kit item) marked R. BATTERY CABLE BATTERY TERMINAL 9. Reconnect power as follows. Remove nut from negative (-) battery terminal. 15 LIFT CORPORATION Sht. 15 of 15 DSG# M Rev. B Date: 07/21/14 BOLT ON RUBBER BUMPERS NOTE: Rubber dock bumper kits P/N and P/N contain 2 rubber bumpers and 2 sets of fasteners f each bumper. Rubber dock bumper kit P/N contains 2 rubber bumpers, 2 sets of bushings, and 3 sets of fasteners f each bumper. The illustration in FIG shows how to bolt rubber bumpers to the bolt-on and weld-on dock bumpers. Bolt a rubber bumper to each of the 2 dock bumpers (FIG. 15-1).
