Never operate if it malfuntions or if it has broken or damaged parts. Use only qualified lift servie personnel and genuine Rotary parts to make repairs. Thoroughly train all employees in use and are of lift, using manufaturer s instrutions and Lifting It Right and Safety Tips supplied with the lift. Never allow unauthorized or untrained persons to position vehile or operate lift. Prohibit unauthorized persons from being in shop area while lift is in use. Do Not permit anyone on lift or inside vehile when it is either being raised or lowered. Authorized personnel only in lift area. Read operating and safety manuals before using lift. Always keep area around lift free of tools, debris, grease and oil. Never overload lift. Capaity of lift is shown on nameplate affixed to the lift. Do Not stand in front of the vehile while it is being positioned in lift bay. Position vehile with enter of gravity midway between adapters. Use vehile manufaturer s lift points. Do Not hit or run over lift arms or adapters. This ould damage lift or vehile. Before driving vehile into lift bay, position arms and adapters to provide unobstruted entrane onto lift. Load vehile on lift arefully. Position lift adapters to ontat at the vehile manufaturer s reommended lift points. Raise lift until adapters ontat vehile. Chek adapters for seure ontat with vehile. Raise lift to desired working height. Do not override self-losing lift ontrols. DO NOT go under vehile if loking lathes are not engaged. Do Not blok open or override self-losing lift ontrols; they are designed to return to the Off or Neutral position when released. Do Not remove or disable arm restraints. Remain lear of lift when raising or lowering vehile. Keep feet lear of lift while lowering. Remain lear of lift when raising or lowering vehile. Always use safety stands when removing or installing heavy omponents. Always use safety stands when removing or installing heavy omponents. Avoid exessive roking of vehile while on lift. Clear area if vehile is in danger of falling. Remove tool trays, stands, et. before lowering lift. Release loking lathes before attempting to lower lift. Avoid exessive roking of vehile while on lift. Clear area if vehile is in danger of falling. Auxiliary adapters may redue load apaity. Position lift arms and adapters to provide an unobstruted exit before removing vehile from lift area. 2

3 OWNER/EMPLOYER RESPONSIBILITIES The Owner/Employer:??? Lift to be used by trained operator only. Proper maintenane and inspetion is neessary for safe operation. Shall ensure that lift operators are qualified and that they are trained in the safe use and operation of the lift using the manufaturer s operating instrutions; ALI/SM01-1, ALI Lifting it Right safety manual; ALI/ST-90 ALI Safety Tips ard; ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2000, Amerian National Standard for Automotive Lifts-Safety Requirements for Operation, Inspetion and Maintenane; ALI/WL Series, ALI Uniform Warning Label Deals/Plaards; and in the ase of frame engaging lifts, ALI/LP-GUIDE, Vehile Lifting Points/Quik Referene Guide for Frame Engaging Lifts. Shall establish proedures to periodially inspet the lift in aordane with the lift manufaturer s instrutions or ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2000, Amerian National Standard for Automotive Lifts-Safety Requirements for Operation, Inspetion and Maintenane; and The Employer Shall ensure that lift inspetors are qualified and that they are adequately trained in the inspetion of the lift. 4 IMPORTANT??? Lift to be used by trained operator only. Use vehile manufaturer s lift points. To avoid personal injury and/or property damage, permit only trained personnel to operate lift. After reviewing these instrutions, get familiar with lift ontrols by running the lift through a few yles before loading vehile on lift. Always lift the vehile using all four adapters. NEVER raise just one end, one orner, or one side of vehile. Read operating and safety manuals before using lift. Remain lear of lift when raising or lowering vehile. Authorized personnel only in lift area. Observe and heed, and labels on the lift. OPERATING 4. To Raise Lift: A. For all lifts. Push RAISE swith on power unit, Fig. 3. B. Stop before making ontat with vehile. Chek arm restraint pins for engagement. If required, slightly move arm to allow restraint gear and pawl to mesh. DO NOT hammer pin down as this will damage the restraint gear teeth. C. Raise vehile until tires lear the floor. D. Stop and hek adapters for seure ontat at vehile manufaturer s reommended lift points. E. Continue to raise to desired height only if vehile is seure on lift. F. DO NOT go under vehile if all four adapters are not in seure ontat at vehile manufaturer s reommended lift points. G. Repeat omplete spotting, loading and raising proedures if required. H. Lower lift onto loking lathes. DO NOT go under vehile if loking lathes are not engaged. 1. Before Loading: Lift must be fully lowered and servie bay lear of all personnel before the vehile is brought on lift. Swing arms out to full drive-thru position. 2. Spot vehile over lift with left front wheel in proper spotting position, Fig Loading: Swing arms under vehile and position adapters at vehile manufaturer s reommended lift points, Fig. 2. Use intermediate, high step, or optional adapters for under body learane when required. Center of Lift Note: Allow (2) seonds between motor starts. Failure to omply may ause motor burnout. IMPORTANT DO NOT rest adapter against edge of arm. Use height extenders when neessary to ensure good ontat. Auxiliary adapters may redue load apaity. Clear area if vehile is in danger of falling. DO NOT REST ADAPTER AGAINST EDGE OF ARM 4

5 Before attempting to lift pikup truks or other truk frame vehiles, be sure that: A. Vehile frame is strong enough to support it's weight and has not been weakened by modifiation or orrosion. B. Vehile individual axle weight does not exeed one-half lift apaity. C. Adapters are in seure ontat with frame at vehile manufaturers reommended lift points. D. Vehile is stable on lift and neither front nor tail heavy. E. The overhead swith bar will ontat the highest point on the vehile. F. Rotate front and rear adapter to oppose eah other when using the high step adapter and/or any auxiliary height extending adapter. 5. While Using Lift: A. Avoid exessive roking of vehile while on lift. B. Always use safety stands as needed or when removing or installing heavy omponents. 6. To Lower Lift: A. Remove all tools or other objets from lift area. B. Raise lift off loking lathes. C. Pull LATCH release handle fully and hold. D. Push LOWERING valve handle to lower, Fig. 3. Note: Both LATCH release and LOWERING valve handles are deadman-type design. Eah must be held down to lower lift. Do not override self-losing lift ontrols. 7. Remain lear of lift when lowering vehile. Observe pinh point warning deals. 8. Remove adapters from under vehile and swing arms to full drive-thru position before moving vehile. 9. If lift is not operating properly, Do Not use until adjustment or repairs are made by qualified lift servie personnel. Proper maintenane and inspetion is neessary for safe operation. Always use safety stands when removing or installing heavy omponents. Do not override self-losing lift ontrols. Remain lear of lift when raising or lowering vehile. Do not operate a damaged lift. Proper maintenane and inspetion is neessary for safe operation. Keep feet lear of lift while lowering. 5
