(Up to 2, symmetrial amperes maximum.) The type B iruit breaker will handle any normal overload urrents on a time delay basis and will trip instantaneously at 5% to 1 % of oil rating. For faults above 15% of the oil rating, the limiter beomes a faster interrupter than the B breaker and will give protetion to the breaker up to 2, amperes maximum. The limiters used with the B L breakers inlude built-in trigger fuses whih operate to trip the breaker open should any one limiter blow, thus preventing single phase operation. These trigger fuses indiate whih phase has been opened and they also keep the iruit breaker trip free until the faulted fuse has been replaed. The limiters form an integral part of the breaker and are inaessible until the breaker is ompletely withdrawn from the ompartment. The breaker annot be withdrawn until it has been tripped open. This positive safety feature prevents any ontat with the limiters unless the iruit breaker is open and breaker and limiters are ompletely isolated. For steady state loads above 1 amperes and when the short iruit apaity of the system exeeds the interrupting rating of the type B-75 or B-1 breakers, higher urrent rating limiters may be put in series with the standard B-75 or B-1 breakers. Standard drawout features may be obtained by mounting the limiters on a separate drawout truk loated in a ompartment whih is plaed above the B-75 or B-1 drawout breaker ompartment.
