Review them arefully before operating the mahine and before performing maintenane and repairs. Wear safety glasses (Danger of injury by means of metal hips). Wear safety gloves (Danger of injury by utting oneself on sharp-edged work piees). Wear safety shoes. Wear protetive lothing (Protet your head and hair, eyes and ears, hands and feet). Ensure that you maintain a good footing and proper balane at all times. Never work under the influene of alohol, drugs or stronger mediation. After use, shut valve immediately. Disonnet mahine from the air line (Avoidane of unintentionally turning on the mahine) Follow the general urrent and appropriate Aident Prevention and Safety Proedures. Swith off the mahine before laying aside. Avoid sparks in hazardous environment reated by the drill. During use, material and drill always have to be flushed with suffiient water for ooling. Keep your working area lean and unluttered. Maintain a proper footing and balane at all time. Never work with the mahine while standing on a ladder or leaning against a saffold. Never hold the mahine only by hand during drilling. ATTENTION! Never use the flexible hose as a lifting handle! Your safety is in your hands. Keep these instrutions. 6 Pneumati Corner Drill / 0010/ 0030 Mashinenfabrik GmbH OPERATION INSTRUCTION General Performane and output power of this mahine are designed for a utting apaity in steel up to 23 mm. On that ondition, free-hand drilling is not possible (DANGER OF INJURY). Therefore, always entre the mahine and seure it against rotation. Never try to hold the mahine only by hand during drilling. Drilling / Reaming (see figures1 to 3) Chek the oil level. If neessary, add oil to fill up the lubriator. Attah desired tool to the mahine (Morse taper 2) Srew the feed spindle as far as possible (square size 16 mm) Centre and fix the mahine on a suitable support. Seure motor part with lubriator and valve against rotation (do not hold by hand). Connet air hose. (In order to remove ontaminants, blow out the air hose before onneting). Open the valve and begin the drilling or reaming. (Speed an be regulated by opening the valve more or less.) Produe uniform feed by srewing out the spindle. (A apstan is available). Take are for suffiient ooling of tools and work piees (by appropriate oolants). After finishing the operation Shut the valve. Turn off ompressed air and disonnet the air hose. Take the mahine out of devie. Loosen the drills and reamers and pull them out of morse taper. Clean the arbor hole. Chek lubriator. Servie life and performane of the mahines are deisively determined by: a) The air purity Blow the air hose lear before onneting it to the mahine. Install dirt and water separator upstream of the mahine, if it is not possible to prevent the formation of rust and water ondensation in the air distribution lines. b) The lubriation onditions and maintenane see Maintenane of pneumati tools Replae wear parts in partiular the vanes when neessary. Vanes are onsidered worn, if their width is less than 18 mm mm original 20 mm Installation new < 18 mm replae <18mm =>worn-out Rinse the mahine with thin oil or use other orrosion protetion after finishing the work. 11 Pneumati Corner Drill / 0010/ 0030 Mashinenfabrik GmbH Disassembly and Re-assembly Disassembly and re-assembly should only be performed with assistane of the exploded views and setional drawings. Disassembly Motor Remove gearbox nek item 2 from motor housing item 1 while wathing out for the planetary wheel item 15, the washers item 14 and the bearing needles item16. Then knok out the inner motor parts by slightly tapping the motor housing item 1 on a wooden blok. Disassemble motor. Chek vanes item 50 for wear. Governor Remove segment bridge item 27 from rotor shaft item 7 (left-hand thread), while wathing out for the governor dials. Chek the governor parts for wear. Angular Drive Remove output unit housing item 3 from gearbox nek item 2 (wathing out for the end plates). Unsrew fillister-head srews item 66 and pull the planet arrier item 12 (by means of M12 srew) arefully from bevel-gear pinion item 17. Than remove feather key item 53 and pull out bevel-gear pinion of the gearbox nek item 2. Unsrew sleeve item 19 and end over item 24 and remove bevel gear item 22 from adapter sleeve item 21. After removing feather key item 54, pull out adapter sleeve item 21 of output housing item 3. Lubriator The lubriator adjustment srew item Pos should be readjusted only, if the oil throughput rate no longer meets the requirements. For adding oil just unsrew the plug item To adjust the lubriator under operating pressure turn regulating srew item 32.2 ounter-lokwise to open it until air bubbles slightly drift upwards through the oil. Re-assembly Re-assembly is performed essentially in the reverse order. Ensure orret spaing. The axial play between rotor item 6 and end plates items 8 and 9 should be 0.04 mm per side. The hamfered edges of spaers items 52 and 55 should point towards to entre of the rotor. 12 Pneumati Corner Drill / 0010/ 0030 Mashinenfabrik GmbH Remove any oil and resin residue from the rotor slots. The new vanes item 50 should fit easily into the slots. Insert ylinder bushing item 5 into the right side. For the angular drive ensure the orret setting of the tooth engagement. Note the loation of the spaers. Use low visosity grease (e.g. Calypsol D 6024) for the gearbox. After ompletion of re-assembly make funtional gauging by heking free speed (540 rpm) and air onsumption (1.4 m³/min). Mostly a hek of the parameter for free speed and air onsumption is suffiient (see tehnial speifiation). Spare Parts Only original spare parts may be used. There is no warranty for damages and liability is dislaimed, if non-original spare parts and aessories are used.
