The HAMMAR 160 Series has proved its worth since 1974 and has been developed with the focus on simplicity and reliability. The 160 Series has the lowest tare weight of all our range. The 160 Series was the first in the world with a lifting capacity of 33 tons as standard and with its ingeniously simpel construction, it is possibly the most reliable and service-friendly of all our models. HAMMAR 160 S is the world s lightest sideloader and therefore has the highest payload. E-CHASSIS HAMMAR 160 E. The rear crane has an extended slide and in a 45 position it is pushed out behind the trailer frame. The underrun protection is mechanically fastened to the crane, thus ensuring that it remains far back on the trailer. When the cranes are moved back to a 20 or 40 position, the underrun protection follows the crane forward again and is locked into the correct position. Always optimum chassis length Extremely short in 20 position Flexible chassis designs Standard HAMMAR 160 is a development of the tried and tested and almost indestructible SL 30 S and is the perfect machine for ground-to-ground handling. A 160 HS can stack one container on another 8 6 on the ground. The simpler 160 S is not designed for stacking. Both have a lifting capacity of 33 tonnes and permit the cranes to slide between 20 and 40 on the fixed chassis. Power take off (PTO) We equip your vehicle with power take off as standard; the optimum solution for the highest reliability, service and economy. The hydraulic system with PTO has a very low tare weight and minimum diesel consumption. HOPE HAMMAR Optical Positioning Equipment shows the driver when he is in the correct position to lift the container. Adapted to your requirements We do not have a standard solution for everything. We custom build in accordance with your specific requirements it is best like that. If you need to drive on really bad roads, we equip your sideloader with a Centerpoint bogie. Safety Hooks HAMMAR s patented forged steel safety hooks are very small and make the driver s work easier. It is impossible for them to fall out of the corner castings during lifting. Gooseneck chassis No matter where you are with our Gooseneck chassis you can meet all height regulations in the world. Centerpoint bogie Ultra wear-resistant sideloaders with Centerpoint bogies developed for really tough road conditions. Radio control Choose between single or two handed radio. Both control all the functions and cut loading and offloading times significantly. Simple pictograms display the functions. The radio can be connected/disconnected in one simple operation.
