We think we have succeeded pretty well! Unique properties This forwarder can thin out forest without needing any branch roads since the machine is articulated and only 180 cm wide! With its modest width, a ground clearance of 400 mm and weighing just 2860 kg including the crane, the 606 is machine with maximum mobility which leaves minimum marks, even in difficult terrain! Small, light and efficient 606 TT is a lightweight machine for heavyweight jobs. In relation to its own weight, it can transport as much as three tons! The 4.6 m long crane has a wide range of uses. Moreover, it can be fitted with a radiocontrolled winch, making it the perfect machine when the wood is hard to get at. The design of this six-wheel driven forwarder makes it an indispensable implement when a small, light and neat yet at the same time powerful forest machine with enormous capacity is needed. Easy to manoeuvre Vimek 606 TT is registered as a heavy off-road vehicle. It must have third party insurance and may be driven on public roads. The 606 is fitted with the legally required lighting and indicators and also has a rear bank of lights that can easily be detached before offroad driving.

6 A number of different accessories offer unique possibilities and many different areas of use. Vimek 606 TT rotates at the waist, is framesteered and has two high-quality cylinders for locking the waist when loading and unloading. The waist lock is manoeuvred by an electric switch on the control panel. It can also be operated with a hydraulic function for greater stability. The 606 has well-tried mechanical driving with a capstan between the bogie wheels. The capstans are manoeuvred hydraulically. Despite its small exterior dimensions, the forwarder has a light and roomy driver cab which lives up to high standards of comfort. The driver s seat has a revolving chair and dual controls with full driving capacity in both directions. That s to the turning device, one can rapidly change direction. There are foot pedals for accelerator and brakes both at the front and back of the cab which is designed to give maximum visibility when using the crane. All controls are positioned so as to be easily accessible. The underside of the 606 is completely smooth and all vulnerable parts are well protected. The machine has undergone fire inspection in accordance with SBF 127 which means for instance that there are two fire extinguishers placed at the front of the protection guard.

Optional extras enable more functions As an optional extra, the 606 can be fitted with a crane-mounted, radio-controlled hydraulic winch. This is a useful aid when the wood is hard to get at. With a bucket attachment and a hydraulically tilting platform, the forwarder can easily be turned into a small dumper.
