The North Berrien Fire Rescue Department has been fortunate to receive grants for a number of items in the past, but apparatus we do not qualify for grant for a new pumper denied (4/16/2010) 2009 grant for thermal imager and training supplies denied (4/16/ 2010) 2008 grant for new SCBA received and in use 2008 grant for recruitment and retention received and in use 2007 grant for personal protective gear received and in use 2004 grant for station exhaust system, hose washer and gear washer received and in use 2003 grant for a fixed breathing air compressor, high pressure cascade and duel fill station used to fill the breathing apparatus (SCBA) received and in use
13 What s a Rescue Pumper Look Like?
14 It s a Rescue Squad and a Pumper Full fire engine tools and equipment, 1,000 gallon water tank, Class A foam, 1,000ft of 5 in. hose, 800ft 2 ½ in. hose, 5 pre-connected hand lines, etc. Full squad tools and equipment, breathing air cascade and fill station, storage over compartments, extrication tools pre-connected to reels, generator with light tower.
