3 About Luren The Leading Precision Gear Manufacturer When founded in 1994, Luren worked with ITRI and imported the design and production technologies of gear cutting tools from Samputensili, Italy, to begin the production and sale of our gear cutting tools. Through many years of production improvements and technological advancements Luren has developed a strong R&D team which allows us to provide R&D solutions to all of our customers through our three business units of gear cutting tools, gear grinding machines and spinning pumps. We ve also expanded rapidly selling our gear grinding machines internationally under the Luren brand. With the development of our machines, our long partnerships and our experience in the gear industry, we were able to develop sophisticated gear cutting software compatible with all of our machines. Our comprehensive gear cutting solutions have advanced Taiwan s gear industry like no other. Luren remains an intricate part of the success of Taiwan s gear manufacturing industry. 5 Three Business Cores Luren s initial Italy technology acquisition along with long-term support of ITRI and close relationships with academic and research institutions has given Luren the ability to significantly increase R&D capabilities and key technologies, allowing Luren to develop three successful business units, which are Gear Cutting Tools, Gear Grinding Machines and Spinning Pumps. Luren began its international sales and marketing for its gear grinding machines under the Luren brand name since Luren duplicated its success and experience in gear cutting tools and also applied advanced gear technology to develop the spinning pump product line with the intention of successfully extending our precision gear technology to the textile industry. 5

Our user friendly interface allows the operator to enter parameters without any training in coding, and our software automates any NC grinding program for automatic gear production. 10

13 Spinning Pumps High Precision & Repeatability We adapt our technology as the market changes by investing in new production equipment to expand our spinning pump operations. Designed for synthetic fiber manufacturing, our spinning pumps use only the best HSS materials that are vacuum heat treated to achieve a hardness of HRC63 or above. This allows our dimensional and geometric accuracy to satisfy the strictest precision machining requirements in the industry. Production Technology Since launch, our CDR/DVD molds have won the trust of the industry through their outstanding performance, adding to the already strong reputation of our precision machining equipment, team and technology. Our gear cutting tools and gear design expertise have rapidly gained the trust of our global clients, including a German gear pump producer that trusts us to manufacture their precision components. We select only the best European heat-treated HSS materials for optimal hardness, abrasion and heat resistance, and constantly improve our spinning pump designs through testing in cooperation with the Industrial Technology Research Institute to guarantee market leading consistency, heat resistance and stability. 14 Extending Precision Gear Applications Globally Industrial Applications Synthetic Fibers Our Quality Guarantee All spinning pumps made in Luren must pass extremely rigorous quality inspection and stream test before leaving the factory. In addition to tight material and dimension control during machining, each part will be re-examined by the quality control personnel to assure the finest quality. As the spinning pumps are assembled, they must go through stream test and pre-heating test to customer satisfaction.
