5 Manufacturer s Limited Warranty 1. NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY (HEREINAFTER CALLED WARRANTY ) 5 Subject to the following terms and conditions, HINDUSTAN MOTOR FINANCE CORPORATION LIMITED (hereinafter called HMFCL) warrants that any items of BASIC WARRANTY ITEMS and SPECIFIC ITEMS, as each such term is defined below, of the new vehicle manufactured by HMFCL (hereinafter called New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT ) will be free from any defects in material and workmanship under normal use and maintenance. Any parts warranted here under which proves defective within the warranty period applicable to such parts will be repaired or replaced free of charge by any authorized HMFCL-MITSUBISHI dealer, for New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT. 2. COVERED ITEMS (1) BASIC WARRANTY ITEMS BASIC WARRANTY ITEMS, which are parts of the New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT Vehicle other than SPECIFIC ITEMS, NOT-COVERED ITEMS and those cases described in Section NOT-COVERED DAMAGES OR CONDITION are warranted for the first 3 years or 1,00,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first, from when this New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT is first delivered to original purchaser as set forth on the Memorandum of Registration (hereinafter called the Warranty Start Date ). (2) SPECIFIC ITEM (BATTERY, TYRE AND TUBE) The original equipped battery, Tyre and Tube is warranted for the first 12 months or 20,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first, from the Warranty Start Date by the respective manufacutrer. 3. NOT-COVERED ITEMS (1) SPECIAL TRANSACTED ITEMS SPECIAL TRANSACTED ITEMS, which are those parts listed below, are not covered under this WARRANTY by HMFCL but by the manufacturer concerned of each such part. Music system, CD player and others, on this new MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT. (2) EXPENDABLES AND LUBRICANTS EXPENDABLES AND LUBRICANTS, which are those parts listed below, are not covered under this WARRANTY. 1) EXPENDABLES Air cleaner element Oil filter element Clutch facing, brake pad, brake lining and brake rotor Fuel filter element Windscreen wiper blade Drive-belts Fuse Lamp bulb Other expendable parts

NOT-COVERED DAMAGES OR CONDITION This warranty does not cover: Fair wear and tear of any part, normal maintenance service items and the parts and material used in connection with such service (as described and specified in Your Car Care Plan in this Service Booklet). Normal deterioration, discoloration, fading, flawing or damage to plated parts, paint coat, rubber parts, leather upholstery and soft trim caused by daily use, wear and exposure. Minor irregularities not affecting quality, performance or function of vehicle or parts thereof (e.g. slight noise or vibration) or which appear only in particular abnormal operations. Damage caused by insufficient or improper maintenance (e.g. negligence of the daily and periodic inspection services and maintenance) as described in this Service Booklet and Owner s Manual installed in the New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT. Damage caused by using a part not approved by HMFCL and being repaired or replaced by any person or any entity, other than authorized HMFCL-MITSUBISHI dealer. Damage caused by traffic accidents, abuse or negligence of the proper handling as set forth in the Owner s Manual, misuse of the New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT, use of the New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT under unusual conditions such as in races or rallies, and modifications of or to the New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT or any parts not recommended or approved by HMFCL. Damages caused by external influences such as chemical pollution, acid rain, floods, traffic accident, hail, sand, salt, tree sap, bird droping, stones, fire or disasters whether due to human fault, negligence or act of God. Damage in cargo body or cargo cabin by loading. 6
7 Manufacturer s Limited Warranty Incidental or consequential damages such as loss of use of the New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT, loss of time, expenses for fuel, telephone, travel, lodging, legal fees, transportation loss or damage to personal property or commercial loss or loss of revenues. Any new MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT vehicle for which the odometer reading has been altered so the kilometers cannot be determined. 5. TERRITORIAL SCOPE When new MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT vehicle purchased in the country is registered, WARRANTY will not be valid in other country. 8 Your Car Care Plan Pre-delivery Inspection Service To help you get maximum enjoyment and satisfaction from your New MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT, the vehicle has been inspected and prepared by an authorized HMFCL-MITSUBISHI dealer. Initial Service HMFCL offers you 3 Initial Services at 1,000 km, 10,000 km and 20,000 km for your new vehicle. The inspections and lubricants listed on the reverse side of Initial Service Coupon will be performed free of charge at any authorized HMFCL-MITSUBISHI dealer. Only lubricants and materials used will be charged. Periodic Inspection and Maintenance Service Proper maintenance and care of the vehicle are indispensable for safe driving and lower overall running cost. The periodic inspection services designated in this book are the minimum requirements which should be performed on your initiative by authorized HMFCL-MITSUBISHI dealers. Severe Usage Service Severe operating conditions include the following cases. Driving in a dusty area in an area in which the vehicle is likely to be exposed to salty air or brine. Driving on rough roads, on submerged roads, or hilly areas Driving in cold zones Engine idling for a long time or short-distance travel during cold weather Frequent, sudden application of brakes Towing of a trailer Use as a taxi or as a rent-a-car More than 50% of operation time in heavy city traffic in hot temperature of 32 C (90 F) or higher More than 50% of operation time at speeds of 120 km/h (75 mph) or higher in hot temperature or 30 C (86 F) or higher Operation under excessive load If the vehicle is used under severe operating conditions inspections must be performed more frequently than specified for periodc Inspection Service 8
9 Your Car Care Plan Do it Yourself You can carry out many inspection and maintenance items on your vehicle yourself. Prior to long-distance travel or, preferably, before you use your vehicle every day, carry out these inspection and maintenance items. Certain maintenance items must also be carried out periodically in accordance with distance travelled. For these items, see your Owner s Manual. Driving in Foreign Countries It is important to point out to our valued customers that different countries throughout the world have vehicles designed to be more suited to those conditions which exist in a particular country. If you are concerned in anyway, please contact HMFCL-Hindustan Motor Finance Corporation for information of the country you will drive before your departure. The local conditions or regulations may change for a particular country in the following way: Local fuels and lubricants may not be suitable for use in your vehicle. Damage may occur to the mechanism if the wrong fuels or lubricants are used. Modification of your vehicle may be required in some cases, due to local regulations or different driving conditions. The correct customer care service for your particular vehicle may not be available due to the fact that the importer may not distribute all of our model range. Certain parts of your vehicle may, therefore, not be available. All of the above could be inconveniences to you. Please check them together with the HMFCL-MITSUBISHI dealer before your departure to foreign countries. Road Test The road test is included in the periodic inspection. This test is to be conducted after completion of all work concerned with items indicated as service items for each periodic inspection. Check the following items while driving the vehicle. Check free play of steering wheel. Check efficiency of service brake and hand brake system. Check driveability of engine. Check condition of instruments, gauges, indicators, exterior lamps, heater and ventilators.
