1 MOTORCYCLE / ATV 2014> Distributor s Warranty DISTRIBUTOR S WARRANTY Honda Canada Inc., for and on behalf of Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, gives the following written warranties on each new Honda Motorcycle and ATV manufactured by the manufacturing facilities controlled by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., distributed in Canada by Honda Canada Inc. and sold by an authorized Honda Motorcycle or ATV dealer. (Whenever used herein, the word Honda refers to Honda Canada Inc. and/or Honda Motor Co. Ltd. as appropriate from the context.) HONDA WARRANTS THAT each new Honda Motorcycle or ATV will, under normal use and maintenance, be free from any defects in material or workmanship for the terms as outlined below: MODELS TIME AND DISTANCE GL Series 3 years - Unlimited distance ST Series All others EXCEPT 1 year - Unlimited distance Standard Warranty those listed below CRF-F Series 6 months - Unlimited distance TRX Series 1 year - Unlimited distance CRF-R Series No warranty CRF-X Series Genuine Honda GL Series 3 years if installed at time of accessories, ST Series unit retail, 1 year if user installed. dealer installed Bolt-on Accessories All other models Same as unit terms depending (excluding audio) on model. If any defects should be found in a Honda Motorcycle or ATV by an authorized Canadian Honda dealer within the respective periods stated above, necessary repairs and/or replacement with a new Honda part or the Honda equivalent shall be made at no cost to you for parts or labour, when Honda acknowledges that such defects are attributable to faulty material or workmanship at the time of manufacture. Exceptions to this warranty are noted on the following pages under Audio, Emissions and Tire Warranties.

2 THIS WARRANTY COVERS: a) Any new Honda Motorcycle or ATV purchased in Canada from an authorized Honda Motorcycle or ATV dealer which has been registered at the time of purchase on a form provided by Honda, which has had set-up and predelivery service performed by an authorized Honda Motorcycle or ATV dealer and which is normally operated in Canada. b) Any factory installed part except normal maintenance parts referred to in THE WARRANTIES OUTLINED DO NOT COVER. c) Any Motorcycle or ATV on which required maintenance services have been performed as prescribed in the Ownerʼs Manual. d) For GL Series & ST Series only, towing to the nearest Honda dealer is covered if the failure is warrantable and as a result, the vehicle is inoperable or unsafe to drive. If there is no Honda dealer within 150 Km, or all dealers within 150 Km are closed and the repair is necessary to permit you to continue to your destination, Honda will reimburse you for warrantable repairs done at a facility other than a Honda dealer. AUDIO EQUIPMENT WARRANTY (12 months) Honda Canada Inc. gives the following written warranty on original audio equipment including genuine Honda accessory audio equipment sold and installed by authorized Honda Motorcycle dealers. Honda warrants that if any defect should be found in the original audio equipment or in the genuine accessory audio equipment within 12 months from date of delivery, necessary repairs and/or replacement with a new Honda part or the Honda approved equivalent shall be made at no cost to you for parts and labour when Honda acknowledges that such defects are attributable to faulty material or workmanship at time of manufacture. EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEMS WARRANTY All On-Road motorcycles and selected Off-Road models are designed and built to comply with all applicable Canadian federal emissions standards in effect at the time of manufacture. Any defects in materials or workmanship which would cause non-compliance within the periods stated below will be repaired or replaced at no cost for parts and labour. ENGINE DISPLACEMENT PERIOD (whichever comes first) up to 49cc 6,000 Km or 5 years 50cc to 169cc 12,000 Km or 5 years 170cc to 279cc 18,000 Km or 5 years over 279cc 30,000 Km or 5 years The Off-Road models listed below are covered for a period of 30 months (excluding CRF-R series): All CRF-F Series All CRF-X Series All TRX models This warranty begins on the date the motorcycle/atv is registered with Honda Canada by your authorized Honda dealer, or the date it is first placed in service as a demonstrator, lease or company motorcycle/atv. 2

4 THE EMISSIONS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: a) Replacement of expendable maintenance items unless they are original equipment defective in material or workmanship under normal use, and the first required replacement interval for the item has not been reached. Expendable items include but are not limited to, spark plugs, filters, coolant, lubricants, and belts. b) CRF-R motorcycles as identified on the V.I.N. plate. c) Failures or malfunctions of the emission control systems caused by abuse, alteration, accident, misuse, or the use of leaded gasoline. TIRE WARRANTY Tires originally installed on new Honda Motorcycles or ATV are warranted by their manufacturer and NOT by Honda. If an original tire on your Honda Motorcycle or ATV has a defect in material or workmanship, please contact your tire manufacturer or ask your authorized Honda Motorcycle or ATV dealer for assistance. GENUINE HONDA REPLACEMENT PARTS WARRANTY This warranty guarantees that Genuine Honda replacement parts purchased by you will be free from defects in material or workmanship for the following periods: CRF-R/CRF-X or any model used for competition No warranty CRF-F 6 months ATV and all other models 1 year If any defects are found and reported to a dealer within the respective period, and Honda acknowledges that such defects are attributable to faulty material or workmanship at time of original manufacture, the necessary repairs or replacements will be made at no cost to you. If the part was installed by anyone other than a Honda dealer, it will be repaired or replaced without charge for the part, but you must pay the labour. THE WARRANTIES OUTLINED DO NOT COVER: a) A unit being used for other than the designated intention. b) Any repairs required as a result of a collision, accident, neglect, racing, misuse, abuse, theft, vandalism, fire, natural disaster, acts of nature, deterioration from the elements, deterioration due to improper storage, improper installation, or improper/lack of required maintenance. c) Any repairs required as a result of unauthorized alteration, remodeling or modifications not authorized and approved by Honda. d) Any unit on which the odometer or emission control systems have been altered, modified or remodeled and rendered inoperative or the true distance travelled cannot be determined. e) Any warranty repair (other than emission control systems) not diagnosed, and/or performed by an authorized Honda dealer. f) Deterioration due to normal wear or exposure. g) Vehicles, which for any reason have been declared a total loss or sold for salvage purposes. h) Vehicles which have been repaired with parts not made or supplied by Honda and that part is responsible for the failure or malfunction. i) Damage to paint and other exterior items due to road hazards. j) Paint matching. Honda Canada Inc. reserves the right to decide whether painting the repaired or replaced part to match the original finish is practical. Honda Canada Inc. will not under any circumstances pay for painting the entire unit solely for paint matching. k) Normal maintenance services and adjustments such as, but not limited to the following; wheel balance and alignment, brake and clutch adjustment, tightening of nuts, bolts and fittings, engine tune-up and headlight alignment and the replacement of parts made in connection with normal maintenance services including filters, gaskets, spark plugs and wires, fuses, clutch and brake linings, belts, coolants, drive chain, cables, lubricants, hoses and other expendables susceptible to natural wear. l) To the extent the law permits, Honda disclaims any responsibility for loss of time or use of the vehicle, transportation or towing cost (except as described in this booklet) and any other indirect, incidental or consequential damages, inconveniences or commercial loss. m) Use for the following activities which will VOID these warranties; - Racing - Competition - Rental NOTE: CRF-R & CRF-X MOTORCYCLES, AND ALL MOTORCYCLES OR ATVS USED FOR COMPETITION HAVE NO WARRANTY 4

5 THE OWNER S OBLIGATION In order to maintain the validity of this DISTRIBUTORʼS WARRANTY, the required maintenance services as set forth in the Ownerʼs Manual must be performed at the proper intervals and detailed receipts and records retained as proof. TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE You must take your Honda, at your expense, during normal service hours to any authorized Honda Motorcycle/ATV dealer across Canada. If you are unable to obtain or are dissatisfied with the warranty service you receive, take the following steps: first contact the owner of the dealership involved; this should resolve the problem. No dealer or his agent or employee is authorized to extend or enlarge on this warranty on behalf of Honda by any written or verbal statement or advertisement (except through a Honda Plus extended warranty contract). DISCLAIMER To the extent the law permits, Honda disclaims any responsibility for loss of time or use of the Motorcycle or ATV, transportation or towing costs or any other indirect, incidental or consequential damage, inconvenience or commercial loss. PRIVACY STATEMENT The owner information submitted may be used by Honda and its related companies, their dealers and service providers to communicate marketing, product and service information to you. If you prefer not to receive marketing information, please contact us at NOTICE TO CONSUMER The provisions contained in this written warranty are not intended to limit, modify, take away from, disclaim or exclude any warranties set forth in the operation of The Consumer Products Warranties Act, 1977 (Saskatchewan), the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec), or any other similar provincial or federal legislation. Your authorized Honda dealer has assembled and prepared your new Honda to ensure that all systems and components are operating according to manufacturerʼs specifications. As part of the delivery of your new Honda Motorcycle or ATV your dealer has explained maintenance requirements, operations and warranty conditions assuring that you received all standard items including your ownerʼs manual, warranty policy and owner registration form. Please present your copy of the Owner Registration to your dealerʼs service department when service or warranty repairs are required. HONDA PLUS If you plan to drive your new motorcycle or ATV for a longer period of time or a higher number of kilometres than covered by the Honda warranties mentioned, Honda Plus will be of interest to you. Honda Plus offers you a choice of protection packages, which extend the distributorʼs warranty by both time and/or mileage on certain Honda motorcycles and ATVs. Ask your Honda motorcycle/atv dealer for the Honda Plus package that meets your needs. 5
