4 What Makes ARIAS PISTONS The Popular Choice FORGING BLANKS ARIAS stocks an extensive range of forging blanks. From 1.750" to 6.250" and all in between we can manufacture just about any piston from go-karts to tractor-pullers. Internal shapes range from general use to dedicated, single-purpose designs. All blanks are either 4032 hi-silicon or 2618 non-silicon aluminum, or both, allowing our engineers virtually unlimited boundaries of design. TECHNICAL INFO ARIAS has an extensive database of engine years, makes, models and specifications at our command. From those specs we formulate the required dimensions to create a fitting set of pistons. We also have on hand the blueprints for many unique and hard-to-find combos, giving ARIAS the ability to manufacture pistons for applications others can t. We have the technical know-how, flexibility, resources and passion to create a product tailored to your special requirements. ARIAS also stocks piston kits of popular combinations on the shelf, ready for immediate delivery. If your combo cannot be found in our stocking piston listings, contact us about customs. We won t try to sell you a kit that is "close enough". Instead, we ll extract critical information about your powerplant and deliver a functional set of pistons to suit your needs. 16 MOTORCYCLE APPLICATIONS ARIAS MOTORCYCLE PISTONS Forged from Billet All Arias pistons are forged in the U.S. from billet bar stock aluminum alloys. This guarantees a finished piston that is a full extruded structure throughout. Forging Blank Selection Arias Forged Pistons has one of the most extensive lines of forging blanks in the custom piston industry. We have over 95 different styles to choose from in either 2618 or 4032 alloy. Arias has many blanks that are dedicated to one style of engine, thus allowing an extremely light weight and strong finished piston. sizes range from Fully Machined CNC machined working surfaces create accurate balance weights and consistent tolerances from part to part. Arias does not compromise quality in order to cut corners. Our pistons are fully machined, and not forged side relief "FSR." Piston Domes A wide selection of piston dome shapes are available for most custom piston designs. Arias engineers design their piston domes to conform closely to the combustion chamber shape, allowing proper and efficient quench and flame travel, yet achieving desired compression. Valve Reliefs Whatever cam lift or acceleration rate you may be running, Arias can handle it. A custom piston means just that, customized to your specs. We engineer our valve reliefs to accept any valve lift, rate, diameter or angle without sacrificing clearance or loss of compression. If maximum compression is of concern, Arias will tulip or flat plunge your reliefs for a modest additional charge. Ring Grooves All Arias piston ring grooves are machined to precise specifications for width, depth, and chamfer on CNC lathes providing superior quality. Ring groove side and lateral clearance is dictated by the customer's requirements (racing, street, endurance, etc.) and special order ring grooves are not a problem. Ring Lands Ring grooves are useless unless supported by proper ring lands. Ring lands are subject to various degrees of heat and pressure depending on the piston application. Arias experienced staff takes all factors into consideration, resulting in a piston with proper land thickness, face width, clearance and angle. Refined Skirt Design Every Arias piston benefits from our perfect skirt cam and taper shape. Working together with proper skirt width thickness and clearance, piston and cylinder wall life is greatly extended due to reduced scuffing and excellent piston to wall compatibility. Also, our skirts are diamond-turned, resulting in a more consistent skirt profile. 14

Each ring set is tailored for its specific application. ARIAS also offers ring sets not listed from virtually all OEM and extreme-duty ring suppliers. 29 PIN LOCKS ARIAS pin retention locks come in three styles: Truarc, Spiral and Wire. Pistons may be machined to accept single or dual Truarcs, single or dual Spirals, or single Wires. ARIAS pistons must use ARIAS pin locks. QTY: 1ea. PIN BUTTONS ARIAS pin buttons are used as an alternative to pin locks. On pistons having an intersecting pin bore and oil ring groove, buttons also bridge the resulting gap to support the oil ring. Buttons are available in two types: Register (fits inside wrist pin bore) and non-register Stepped (supports ring groove). Most stepped buttons are custom made to the matching piston. No order will be considered valid until that order ships from ARIAS' facility and an invoice is issued. The minimum order on custom pistons is four. Shelf-stock pistons and hardware may be purchased singularly. Terms: ARIAS accepts cashiers check, company check, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Amex and Discover) and/or wire transfer. Initial custom piston orders require a 50% deposit prior to order processing, with balance paid by C.O.D. Subsequent orders will ship C.O.D. for the full amount and company checks (once approved) will be accepted. Qualifying accounts are eligible for credit terms; consult your ARIAS sales associate. International orders require 100% pre-payment. Shipping Freight: All orders will be shipped by the fastest, most economical way unless otherwise specified. All shipments are F.O.B.
