1 Type series booklet CTI-1700/00 [ ] MZ, MA Liquid ring pumps 1 Fields of application Multi-stage, horizontal liquid ring pumps, with self-priming capacity. MZ and MA pumps are used for pumping of clean slightly aggressive fluids, not containing abrasive or solid particles. 2 6 Components 6.1 Shaft Seal Single mechanical seal or packing. 6.2 Drive IEC frame electric motor. 6.3 Bearings / Lubrications MZ series with ball bearing at the drive end and friction bearings at non-drive end. MA series with ball bearings on both sides of the shaft. The MA series also includes friction bearings inside the pump. Ball bearings are greased for life. Friction bearings are selflubricated by pumped fluid. 6.4 Coupling 6.5 Base plate Sectional Steel, welded or U-rails for complete unit (pump and motor). Close-clouped units are supplied with two U-rails for easier installation. 7 Certification - ATEX Certified quality management according to ISO This series can be supplied as ATEX compliant. Flexible, rubber plug type coupling without spacer. Coupling guard: metallic coupling guard is supplied as standard. 2
