10 General information Product information For a lon time now, three-phase AC motors from Lenze have been established in virtually all industrial sectors. Based on our many years of eperience in the field of drive and automation technoloy, we have developed motors, which will ensure that your demands in terms of productivity, quality and availability are perfectly met. Three-phase AC motors from the L-force series are primarily characterised by their comprehensive modularity. The wide variety of options allows you to precisely adjust the drive characteristics in line with your application. We call this Rihtsizin. The motors are available in three versions: ƒ L-force three-phase AC motors MD ( W) Three-phase AC motors of efficiency class IE1 (standard efficiency) correspondin to IEC ƒ L-force three-phase AC motors MH ( W) Three-phase AC motors of efficiency class IE2 (hih efficiency) correspondin to IEC Since the IE2 motors are produced in the same dimensions as the standard efficiency motors, it's very easy to chane between versions. ƒ L-force three-phase AC motors MF ( W) These motors are optimised for use in an inverter operation. Benefits for you: - Up to 2 sizes smaller than standard three-phase AC motors - The motors eceed the minimum efficiency levels of efficiency class IE2 - Lare settin rane: 1:24 (no field weaenin) - Dynamic thans to a small moment of inertia ƒ 9 brae sizes each available with several brain torques can be combined with three-phase AC motors. ƒ The LonLife desin of the brae easily enables over switchin cycles. ƒ For speed and position detection, a resolver and/or various incremental and absolute value encoders can be mounted. ƒ Motors are also available with plus for power connections, braes, blowers and feedbac for fast commissionin. ƒ The motor can optionally be equipped with a blower instead of an interal fan. At speeds below 20 Hz, a torque reduction is consequently not required. ƒ For drive tass in distributed applications, the motor can be supplied with the motec frequency inverter mounted on the terminal bo. ƒ Motors are available with UL/CSA, GOST, CCC and UrSepro approval. Basic versions ƒ The motors feature B3, B5 and B14 desins and dimensions standardised in line with IEC and/or DIN EN 347 which maes then suitable for universal use. ƒ The motor windin is inverter-compatible even in the standard version. ƒ The thermal sensors interated as standard allow for permanent temperature monitorin and are coordinated to the motor windin's temperature class F (155 C). ƒ The motors of the basic version are adapted to ambient conditions by enclosure IP55. ƒ In touh operatin conditions, the surface and corrosion protection system is provided to reliably protect the motor from corrosive media. 10

33 Accessories Motor connection MD/MH three-phase AC motors are desined for operation on a fied mains and for inverter operation. For operation at Hz, the motors should be operated in a Δconnection at V or in a star connection at V. For inverter operation, the base frequency has been set at 87 Hz at a rated voltae of V in a Δconnection. In the standard version, the motors are connected in the terminal bo.
