8 4 DW SERIES Shredders Powerful and flexible The shredding by means of roller and comb is suitable for the most difficult tasks. Roller teeth made of wear-resistant steel tear the material through the shredding comb. The comb opens automatically if necessary in order to avoid damages by large unshreddable contaminants. All the wear parts are quickly and easily replaceable. The engine and aggragates of the DW shredders are easily accessible from two sides. The powerful direct drive with electric reversing function provides for a high throughput. The self-cleaning cooler is easily accessible and its noise level is very low thanks to the large lowspeed fan. With their rear conveyor, which can be folded out hydraulically, the DW shredders are ready to go in no time. Magnets for iron separation are also available optionally. A multifunctional display shows the machine data and enables a easy machine operation. An optional remote control is available. 24 4 SM SERIES Screens Optimum Screening The rotating drum can even screen the most difficult materials making the best possible use of the load-sensing material feed and the large screening surface. The Doppstadt screens with modular design can be adjusted to special tasks. They are extremely mobile and can easily be controlled by one operator. Due to the sprocket drive, the drum can be changed very easily. By means of a stonegrid or vibrating screen or with the star screen above the hopper, a third fraction can be separated. The hydraulically controlled discharge conveyors are ready to go within less than five minutes. A rotating, hydraulically controlled brush cleans the drum automatically. The machine level is adjustable for stability and a good throughput. If the machine must be moved, a slip-on coupling for the drawbar is available. 30 Options For screens Hopper star screen The hopper star screen can be mounted on the hopper of the screen. It is driven by an additional hydraulic connection at the machine. The hopper star screen separates oversize > 00 mm before the actual screening of the shredded material (e.g. shredded waste wood, trunks and roots). It enables the separation of the fines and the oversize in just one path. 40 Biopress 05 Screw Extruder Versatile and flexible The BIOPRESS 05 screw extruder separates the liquid and the solid fractions of bio-degradable wastes. The screw is driven by a hydromotor with planetary gear. The rotating cone presses the material with a pre-set pressure through the screening baskets, which are available with different mesh sizes. The liquid fractions can be used for biogas production and the solid fractions for thermal utilization or for composting. A 500 mm (1 8 ) screw diameter and 17 6 rpm (adjustable) ensure a high throughput.
