1 THE SINGARENI COLLIERIES COMPANY LIMITED (A GOVERNMENT COMPANY) Draft Technical Specifications Of MINER BOLTER For Trunk & Road Way Development Of Long wall projects 1.0 GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND SERVICE CONDITIONS. 1.1 The machine should comply with the safety requirements in under ground coal mines specified from time to time by Directorate General of Mines Safety, Dhanbad, India and duly approved for working in Underground Mines. 1.2 All Electricals used on machine must be flame proof and should have plug and socket arrangements and duly approved from DGMS, Dhanbad for use in Indian gassy coal mines. The electricals are suitable for operating voltage 1100 AC, 3 phase, 50 Hz All hydraulic hose assemblies should have DGMS approvals. Pressure line/return line filters should be provided in the circuit to maintain clean hydraulic fluid The machine should have the following cutting and conveying capacities Should be able to cut coal at the rate of T/Min. and convey at the rate of T/Min; where the compressive strength of coal is more than 350 Kg / sq. cm The cutter head / drum should be fitted on ranging type arm. The cutter head should be drum type and fitted with replaceable cutter picks and powered with suitable rated motor and gear reducer The cutter heads should be equipped with water spray of adequate capacity for Suppression of dust while cutting and also to control dust in the machine vicinity Suitable effective dust extraction system should be provided on the machine The conveyor should be Electrical driven single strand type with about mm wide The machine should be an Electrical driven on either side crawler mounted one with the following features Should have independent drives for Right Hand and Left Hand tracks of adequate capacities. Traction :Electrical driven two-speed crawler traction system with fail-safe braked traction. Automatic track hydraulic tension Wider grouser pads shall be provided so that the ground pressure shall not exceed 1.5 Kg / Sq. cm Should be able to work in the galleries varying height from 2.5 M to 4.0 M Should have good maneuverability and stability with sufficient ground clearance Should be able to work in gradient up to 1 in 4 both up & down, cross gradient upto 1 in Should have adequate braking capacity to stop rolling down on slope while working or when parked. 1.5 The machine should be designed to operate on Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluid HFDU- 68. Adequate capacity cooler/radiator should be provided keeping in view of ambient temperature of 45 0 C and system designed temperature. The hydraulic fluid temperature should be maintained below 75 C even after working for full shift. Hand/Powered Pump should be provided with self sealing couplings for topping / replenish hydraulic fluid. 1.6 Hour meter should be provided to record the machine working hour (cutting hours). Pressure gauges, temperature gauges should be provided at a convenient place near to operator platform. 1.7 The machine should be provided and fitted with suitable FLP head light Assemblies at both front and rear ends to ensure good lighting and visibility. Entire lighting arrangements should be suitable for 24 V. All electrical fitting used should be FLP Type, and approved by DGMS (India). All cable entry boxes should be provided with DGMS approved plug and sockets for motors, and control panel. Suitably sealed glands should be provided for all electrical apparatus The machine should be fitted with stabilizer cylinder at the rear and so that with the help of stabilizer cylinder & cutter head the whole machine can be lifted for maintenance purpose.

2 1.8.2 The Chain conveyor shall be controlled by the machine operator from the electrical control panel. The conveyor is to be driven by an electric motor through a reduction gearbox splined to the drive drum on the delivery section The life of individual components like Gear Boxes, Crawler/Track chain, conveyor chain, loader gears shall be furnished The machine should be suitable for oils and lubricants of Indian makes like IOC etc. Initial fill of oils, lubricants and, picks should be supplied along with the machine. 1.9 The machine should be guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months from the date of commissioning or 18 months from the date of supply whichever is earlier Initial spares required for smooth operation for 2 years after warranty for maintenance and consumables except lubricants should be offered separately. Evaluation will be done on the total cost of machine and 2 years spares. Any spares required over and above the quoted spares should be supplied free of cost during the 2 years period. Any spares consumed during the warranty period from the above supplied items shall be replaced free of cost within 4 weeks. List of consumables like picks, flights, oils, Lubricants, drill rods with bearing plate, drill bits for one year to be informed along with offer Required capacity of grease tank and centralized lubrication arrangement shall be provided on the machine Training at SCCL Mine shall be provided for 6 weeks for operators & maintenance Fitters and Electricians, after commissioning the equipment by the tenderer. 2.0 SAFETY FEATURES. 2.1 The machine starting arrangements should be through pilot operated switches which are provided with the machine keeping the Gate End Box at far end. 2.2 Low level fluid cut off in the hydraulic tank and high fluid temperature cut off switches should be provided and fitted on the machine to set at required / designed temperature. 2.3 Emergency stop buttons should be provided at strategic points to stop the machine power supply to the machine from various points. 2.4 Lifting cylinders should have burst hose protection with mech locking arrangement. 2.5 A fire extinguisher should be provided at the operators compartment. 2.6 Fail safe brake to prevent rolling down the equipment either while in cutting or in parking condition. Methane Monitor Programmable gas monitor with audible alarm and power supply shut off. 2.7 Audio Visual alarm for pre starts warning. 2.8 Storage arrangement for bolting material like drill rods, resign capsules, tools etc to be provided on the machine. 2.9 Specifications: Description Unit Sccl req.
