It will help you become familiar with the parts and construction. Wait to dispose of the packing material until assembly is complete and all parts and hardware are accounted for. Sometimes a hardware bag can be tricky to find, though they are usually taped to a part. Two people might be required for assembly. No hardware required for assembly We recommend that you insert the umbrella into an umbrella base or table (not included) to secure. If crank becomes too hard to crank, check to see if the rope has come off the pulley. If you continue to turn the crank, the rope or crank handle could break. Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, contact our product specialists. Battery Replacement: We recommend that you change the battery in your solar light umbrella every year, or when you feel the light output is diminished. For best results, buy one Lithium 2200mAh rechargeable battery. This is the same batter supplied with the panel. Install only new batteries. Warnings and Cautions: Caution: Always take the umbrella down when not in use IMPORTANT: Please remove the film on the solar panel before use. This protective film is to prevent damage during shipment. Warning: Make sure to charge the solar panel batteries for at least 8 hours before first use. If not fully charged, the lifespan and performance of the batteries will decrease. DANGER: Keep children away from umbrella during assembly to avoid injury Caution: To prevent damage to the canopy, open the umbrella facing the opposite direction that the wind is blowing DANGER: Do not use this umbrella during periods of high winds and rain. Failure to do so may result in personal injury and/or damage. Warning: Failure to insert battery in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery compartment, may shorten the life of the battery or cause the battery to leak. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix Alkaline, Standard (Carbon-Zinc), or Rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) or (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries. Attention: Please note that battery can discharge if they are left unused or uncharged for a long period of time. Since there can be a six month period between production and final customer purchase, we recommend you charge your solar umbrella for at least 8 hours in direct sunlight before first use. Failure to charge the battery will result in premature dimming of the lights in your new solar umbrella. Care and Maintenance: Simply clean the umbrella canopy with a soft brush and mild detergent. DO NOT machine wash or dry DO NOT iron AIR DRY the canopy thoroughly before storing for extended period of time Make sure the canopy is completely open during drying process to prevent shrinkage. Warning: Placement of the umbrella over or near a swimming pool can cause premature fading of the canopy. This is not covered under our warranty. Warranty: 90 DAY WARRANTY: This product is covered under manufacturer s 90 day warrant from date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. 3 Parts List: (A) Umbrella Frame with Canopy Qty: 1 (B) Bottom Pole Qty: 1 (C) Finial Qty: 1 (D) Removable Cover Qty: 1 Assembly: Find a clean, smooth area on which to work, such as a carpet, in order to avoid scratching the parts. Lay out all parts and hardware on the floor or on a table in the order of their letter. This will familiarize you with the parts and also help you find a part easier when you re ready to assemble it. To assemble: Step 1: Insert the plug on the Umbrella Frame with Canopy (A) into the socket beneath the Solar Panel (C) 9 Morphing Market Umbrella # Current instructions at Page 3 of 9

4 Step 2: Put the Solar Panel (C) on the top of the Umbrella Frame with Canopy (A) and hide the plug and wire inside the groove at the top of the umbrella. Then turn the solar panel clockwise. Do not overtighten. Please remove the plastic film on the solar panel. Step 3: To assemble the umbrella pole, insert the Bottom Pole (B) into the Umbrella Frame with Canopy (A) while pressing the snap button found on the Umbrella Frame with Canopy (A). 5 Step 4: We recommend that you stand and secure the umbrella to an umbrella base (not included). B 1 Step 5: Put the solar umbrella in sunlight to charge the batteries before first use. Make sure the light switch is turned off. If the light is on, the battery will not charge. Failure to charge the battery will result in premature dimming of the lights in your new solar umbrella. 6 Step 6: Turn the crank handle in the clockwise direction to open the umbrella canopy. Turn in the opposite direction to close. The umbrella must be in the upright position to close. Light Operating Procedure: Press upper white button to turn on power. White is the default light color. Pressing a colored button will turn the light only the color of the button. Press on the middle yellow button labeled M to rotate through light colors. To turn off lights, press the white button. Press once if lights are white. Press twice if lights are colored. 7 Step 1: How to Replace Solar Panel Batteries Twist counterclockwise and remove the Solar Panel (C). Step 2: How to Replace Solar Panel Batteries Put the Solar Panel (C) on the top of the Umbrella Frame with Canopy (A) and hide the plug and wire inside the groove at the top of the umbrella. 8 Step 3: How to Replace Solar Panel Batteries Put the Solar Panel (C) upside down on a flat, non-abrasive surface to avoid scratching. Loosen all four screws on the Solar Panel (C) bottom. Step 4: How to Replace Solar Panel Batteries Carefully open the bottom case and set aside. 9 Step 5: How to Replace Solar Panel Batteries Carefully put the bottom case back. Align screws holes and replace screws. Do not over tighten the screws.
