It is NOT recommended that this umbrella be used during periods of high wind and rain. Always take the umbrella down during high or gusting wind and rain, when not in use and in the offseason.

Wait to dispose of the packing material until assembly is complete and all parts are accounted for. Caution: This umbrella is designed for easy operation, sunshade and decorative purposes only. It is NOT recommended that this umbrella be used during periods of high wind and rain. Always take the umbrella down during high or gusting wind and rain, when not in use and in the offseason. Failure to do so may result in personal injury and/or property damage. If the crank becomes too hard to crank, check to see if the rope has come off the pulley. If you continue to turn the crank, the rope or crank handle could break. Care for the canopy: Simply clean the umbrella canopy with a soft brush and mild detergent. Do not machine wash or machine dry. Do not iron. Air-dry the canopy thoroughly in an open position before storing for extended periods of time. To assemble: Step 1 Find the plug at the top of the umbrella. Insert the plug into the socket under the Solar Panel. Step 2 Fit the wire inside the top of the Umbrella, and turn the Solar Panel clockwise to attach it to the Umbrella. Be careful not to over-tighten. Step 3 Note the spring-button on the Lower Pole. Press the spring-button while inserting the Lower Pole - the spring-button should pop into the hole in the upper pole.

Step 5 Set the umbrella in the direct sunlight to charge the batteries before the first use. Note: Be sure to charge the batteries for at least 8 hours before the first use.

Step 6 To open the umbrella: (1) Turn the crank handle in the clockwise direction, (2) You can tilt the umbrella to your desired angle by pressing the Tilt Button to release the umbrella top.

3 Step 3 Note the spring-button on the Lower Pole. Press the spring-button while inserting the Lower Pole - the spring-button should pop into the hole in the upper pole. Step 4 We recommend that you secure the umbrella to an umbrella base (not included). Secure the umbrella pole firmly by tightening the knob. Step 5 Set the umbrella in the direct sunlight to charge the batteries before the first use. Note: Be sure to charge the batteries for at least 8 hours before the first use. Otherwise it will shorten lifespan of the batteries and decrease performance. Be sure the switch on the pole is in the off position. Step 6 To open the umbrella: (1) Turn the crank handle in the clockwise direction, (2) You can tilt the umbrella to your desired angle by pressing the Tilt Button to release the umbrella top. Release the button to maintain the desired angle. (3) Press the light switch to turn on the solar lights. Reverse these steps to take down the umbrella. TO REPLACE THE BATTERY We recommend that you change the batteries in your solar light umbrella every year or when you feel the light is fading.

You can purchase at specialty retailers.

Do not dispose of battery in fire. Battery should be recycled or disposed of as per state and local guidelines. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Twist the Solar Panel counter-clockwise and remove it from the top of the umbrella. 2. Carefully pull the plug out of the socket under the Solar Panel.

4 TO REPLACE THE BATTERY We recommend that you change the batteries in your solar light umbrella every year or when you feel the light is fading. Buy one (1) Lithium 1500mAh rechargeable batteries same as supplied with panel. Install only new battery of the same type in your product. You can purchase at specialty retailers. *Failure to insert battery in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery compartment may shorten the life of the battery or cause the battery to leak. Do not dispose of battery in fire. Battery should be recycled or disposed of as per state and local guidelines. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix Alkaline, Standard (Carbon-Zinc) or rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) or (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries. 1. Twist the Solar Panel counter-clockwise and remove it from the top of the umbrella. 2. Carefully pull the plug out of the socket under the Solar Panel. IMPORTANT: Do not pull the wire to remove the plug. 3. Set the Solar Panel upside down on a soft, clean surface to avoid scratching. Loosen all four screws on the bottom of the Solar Panel. 4. Carefully open the Solar Panel. Replace the batteries, matching the +/- on the batteries with the +/- on the battery case. 9' Double Top Solar Lighted Umbrella With Cover UMB Page 4 of 5

5 5. Re-assemble the Solar Panel. Do not over tighten the screws. Attach the Solar Panel back onto the umbrella and follow the instructions in Step 5 to recharge the batteries in a full day of direct sun. NOTE: Make sure batteries are fully charged before first use. Your solar umbrella is ready to use again! NOTE: For everyday normal use, turn on the light switch in the night-time when you want to use solar light and turn off the switch after use. ALSO MAKE SURE THE LIGHT SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION IN THE DAYTIME FOR THE SOLAR PANEL TO RECHARGE THE BATTERIES. NOTE: You must charge batteries before first use. Please note that batteries can discharge if they are left unused or uncharged for a long period of time. Since there can be a six-month period between production and final customer purchase, we recommend you charge your solar umbrella for at least 8 hours in direct sunlight before the first use. Failure to charge the batteries will result in premature dimming of the lights in your new solar umbrella. Make sure the light switch is in the off position when charging the solar panel.
