4 WE INNOVATE We developed the PowerCollector: a unique and patented technology with the highest energy yield ever measured. Besides electricity the PowerCollector delivers a lot of heat - up to 70 C. The Solarus PowerCollector is a concentrating, hybrid solar photovoltaic and solar thermal panel. Concentrating means that it has a curved mirror to collect and reflect more sunlight throughout the day. Hybrid means that it combines solar photovoltaic (PV) generation of electricity with solar thermal (T) generation heat. Solarus offers, as the only company in the world, both Active Cell Cooling and Maximum Reflector Collector Technologies. 7 THE 4-STAR VINEYARD HOTEL IN SOUTH AFRICA IS CONVINCED The luxury Vineyard hotel in Cape Town was one of the first hotels to install 60 PowerCollectors. After positive results, the Vineyard is in the process of installing 100 additional PowerCollectors. The space-saving solution offered by the Solarus hybrid system is highly efficient on our limited roof space, making this system an attractive choice for the Vineyard Hotel and for supplementing an existing solar PV system.
